So the plant is about a month old. The tips are starting to turn a bit yellow . It is in coast of Maine soil. I am getting 35 DLI on my light meter. The light is 18 in above the canopy of the plant and no nutrients have been added. It was transplanted from Happy Frog into the coast of Maine about 2 weeks ago. What would be the cause of the yellowish tips
How often do you water?
When the soil dries out but I think I was under watering it
Yellow tips like that means you are feeding at the perfect level. Or the soil has the right amount of food in it. Nothing to worry about as I see it.
Some call it painting the fingernails. Its a good sign.
I try to do it on purpose…
I like that answer thank you
Transplanting from Happy Frog to COM might have shocked her a little bit too… she should turn herself around though. Give her time.
This is Purple Punch and this is my 1st grow, it not an auto flower tho!!! I bought it a my local dispensary on 4/2 it was just a seedling. But I’m not sure if I’m in flower or veg still? I also wonder if it’s growing right because it’s not very big to be 8wks old approximately. Please help, I also don’t see any sugerie tricon the leaves.
It looks to be in flower to me . How many hours of light are you giving it?
Full on flower Grow Bro, around the 2nd week
12/12 d/n I’m not sure if 12/12 is sufficient light and dark?? I’m open to all suggestions and I would like to thank everybody in advance for the advice because I felt so alone doing this until I came across this app.
How many weeks of flower is there until harvest?
@New2it First, welcome to the community! Defs in flower Growmie and ur right on with ur light cycle; 12/12 during flower. Most will take 8-10 weeks to finish, some longer.
It should be much larger than that at 8 weeks above ground and looks spindly and stretched out. I’d guess that it has inadequate lighting but impossible to say without more info.
Yes i agree, it took me about 3 1/2 weeks to get the tent and light, then I had to order a different light because I originally had a blurple light now I have the right light so, basically my clone lost almost 4wks of appropriate conditions so I feel like that’s why it is stunted in growth. What can I do to increase my yields? Should I get something to help it grow and bloom better than it is currently.
My advice is keep it simple Growmie, don’t fall for all the flowering and bloom marketing gimmicks out there. A good reputable base line of nutrients is all that’s needed. Next round if you experience issues keep the plant in veg until it recovers then flip your light schedule. This applies to photo period cannabis only, autos will flower regardless of the light schedule
Just remember, the take-a-way here is never send a sick plant into flower. If this ever happens again, all she needs is a good topping, a good trim, a good feed, and another 3-4 weeks of vegetation.
I wouldn’t have sent this plant into flower even if it was in good health. New growers should generally do whatever the seed bank tells them which is generally 4- 8 weeks of vegetation, but once you’ve had the privilege of seeing a few grows from seed to harvest, you’ll learn that you leave them in veg until they take up a given amount of space relative to your grow tent, knowing the plants will double in size after the first three weeks of flower.
Welcome to the forum
