We will be using a mix of 70% coco and 30% perlite in 5gal. soft pots.
My question is:
Will it hurt to plant the seeds in the 70/30 mix in the 5gal. soft pots with coke bottles over them to keep in moisture?
The only problem with starting seeds in such a large pot, is trying to keep it moist enough without overwatering. Is this an auto you’re starting? I wouldn’t recommend doing that even for an auto.
I like to transplant slowly but surely - peat pellets then up one step at a time - I can start the seeds in the gentle seed starter mix - then the one gal pots with the FF blend - and then finally into the forever homes. It feels like there is greater control of the environment to me.

Thank you both for your expertise information. Does anybody live in the US? I would love to hear how long it took you get your seeds. Mine ordered 4-11-18, still no seeds! 
I know they say wait 25 bus. days, but I’m tellin ya what, it sure is tough waiting!

Mine took about two weeks, I think, I’m in NYC.

I believe my first order was seized. I didn’t get any notification or anything, after 25 business days, still nothing. I contacted ILGM on the 26th day, they got back to me in a day, and reshipped (No questions asked) a couple days later. I think my reship took 9 or 10 days but received them no problem. Since then I’ve placed 2 more orders and received both within 10 days.
The waiting sucked so bad for the first order that I broke down and ordered from a Canadian seed bank and got beans in 7 days. A week later, my ILGM seeds arrived.
I feel your pain. ILGM will get you your seeds and think of this as a test of patience. You’ll need lots of it. Keep us posted. 
I’m on the Cape in Mass and both my orders came in about two weeks from the shipment email. Waiting is hard but it’s the part of the whole deal. @merlin44 had a great post about the Waiting. Best, Jeb

@raustin, I am so sorry. I did not mean to ignore your question. These Purple Haze seeds…(if and when I ever get them), are not autos, just feminized.

Same here. We ordered some more seeds from another seed bank and voila, our ILGM order showed up today!
