Purple hairs bud rot or not?

Day 36 of growing Trainwreck auto.
I think the discoloration of the leaves is from nutrient deficiencies and high ph soil, currently around 7.1 due to adding too much Dolomite lime to the top of my soil mid grow about 2 weeks ago.
I’ve been reading about bud rot starting from the inside of the buds and I want to make sure I prevent this and hopefully don’t have it.

Your plants look fine. Those purple looking pistils are natural coloring. Bud rot usually only shows late in flower when temp and humidity gets too high.
This is what it looks like.

The sugar leaves may turn yellow or a sickly brown in a spot. When you pinch it, it will come off easily.

This is the plant when I saw that.

The light colored leaves in the first picture looks like it could use some more nutrients

I would guess pH . Here’s a soil chart and you can see what’s not being used because it can’t.The Phosphorus is out as you can see

I don’t see any bud rot. Which is good.
They don’t look overly happy. Can you post a support ticket?

She really looks like she has a calmag issue to me. She also looks like she’s been waterboarded. She needs to dry out enough to get some oxygen to those roots. Watering incorrectly could be the cause of it all. It’s just 1 possibility of quite a few I’m sure.

Thanks All,

I believe it’s a ph issue. I’ve been getting runoff at 7.1 - 7.2 due to too much dolomite lime (6 TBSP, should have prob. used 2-3 TBPS) added at the top of the soil 20 days into the grow since I was getting a 5.5 ph runoff using 6.5 - 7 ph water. Now it’s too high each time I water.

See runoff ph and EC from each plant from using filtered well water.

That’s super disappointing, thanks for all the details though.

Sounds like you did use too much lime and over corrected.
That PPM on the first one is high as well. Have you been adding nutrients and what kind/brand?
If you have been using something like Fox Farms trio, you need to flush as directed or salt will build up and cause lock out.

Thanks Hmgrwn,
Yes I am using foxfarm trio, however I only used it twice so far at 50% of the fox farm soil feeding schedule with 2 waterings in between feedings and I am watering every 2 days once the pots are very light and dry. The ph of the trio in 1 gal of distilled water was around 6.3-6.5ph and came out at 6.7ph for one plant and 7.0ph runoff for the other. So I knew I was at 7.0+ soil ph.

How does this sound for a plan?
I plan to feed next watering at around 6.1-6.3 ph after adding foxfarm nutrients per schedule. Then once soil is dry a few days later I will I’ll do my first sledgehammer flush and try to ph the water to 6.5ph.

Updates on correcting 7.2 PH.
Day 39
Last night I fed each plant 1 gallon of Foxfarm nutes from the ‘Dirty Dozen’ pack + 1 tsp Cal-Mag.
Each mixed gallon going in was 5.9 - 6.0 ph and 3,800 EC (foxfarm recommends 3,200 - 3,700 EC on week 5.
Great news is that the runoff was less ph and EC/ppms.
-Around 2,100 - 2,800 EC
-Ph was much below 7.2 at around 6.6ph in both plants!

Day 39 right after feeding

Day 39 - 12 hours after feeding - the leaves have perked up!
