Does anyone take propranolol and smoke weed? I’m on 10mg by mouth 3x daily for essential tremors. Curious if anyone smokes while on this and if so any side effects you noticed ?
I used to take propranalol and smoked weed with no adverse effects, but that is my individual experience and others might have a different reaction given that there are cautions out there about mixing the 2.
Thanks , after reading for past few weeks kinda scared to smoke don’t want to have my heart stop or something lol
It really depends on the individual. I don’t smoke a lot and take a couple of hits before bed each day. It’s common for my resting heart rate to race up to 130 BPM after smoking. I think that is the very concern.
Your doctor should have a full understanding of your lifestyle before prescribing medications so they understand your individual risk factors. Propralolol can have some potentially serious side effects.
We can tell you our personal experiences here in the forum, but it isn’t medical advice. Your doctor should to be fully informed so the best decisions can be made in managing your condition.
Everyone is different. I use to take an assortment of pills. Now its an assortment of strains and numerous of consuming.
Haven’t smoked since October only been on pills for a month almost but I really don’t see the pills helping with my shaking hands lol. Yeah just wanted people’s opinions as to what they thought. I know best advice would be consult with doctors
I wish you well, my friend. We all (particularly us older guys) all have these types of issues to deal with. It’s definitely no fun. I went to the ER for a burst cyst near my kidney this past weekend. They found a 5 cm tumor on my kidney when they did the CT scan. Scary.
Damn Grow Bro, wishing you well my friend
Thanks, @OGIncognito. I haven’t gotten a follow up appt for testing yet, but from what I understand, this small of a tumor is very treatable with an 81% survival rate and it is ~80% probability that the tumor might be benign.
Scary, indeed. We are hoping for the best possible outcome, a benign growth.
I agree. Cheers hoping it’s benign @MidwestGuy ! We need you around here
Damn @MidwestGuy stay strong and prayers are with you…
I went past week for mri bc can’t lift or rotate my left arm for past 2 months come to find out I have torn ligament and need surgery to fix it. That’s not till September. As we get older we just fall apart piece by piece. Ashes to ashes dust to dust lol
Yeah. It takes a while for those to heal.
Thanks for the well wishes, @ThatHydroCouple, @OGIncognito, @PurpNGold74 @merlin44. The support feels good. It’s a scary time for me.
Sending good vibes and your way
God speed with your recovery. On a up note, you can probably get medical weed now.
Best wishes to you Growmie!!! Hope all comes out well. I had what was thought to be a regular polyp in my colon but turned out to be adenomatous type. I go every 3yrs for screening now. Definitely a scary situation .
