Promix is the spendiest! Works really well though. Growing good weed is an investment. While you dont need the fancy stuff to grow it, it doesnt hurt your chances any.

I found it at my local Farm and Family store for 40 per 3.8 bale which is less than I was paying for Fox Farms. I wanted better early control of my feed and was reading less worry for pests. I haven’t cracked the bale yet but plan to use it on my recent clones at transplant.

@Myfriendis410 runs the HP with amazing success and noted it’s good straight out of the bag. Not having to mix in perlite and then mix 2 soils together was another high selling point. Mainly better control of early feeds for hopefully faster growth though. Oh, he also recommends running it like Coco so pH around 6.0.

Oh and it’s my understanding you need to charge it with a couple of soaks of your preferred nutrient mix before transplant for best results. That’s new to me coming from extra hot soil so just thought I’d mention it.

Wow thank you guys so much! Ive been using the pro.ix organic garden mix. Ive had good results but i havent used another soil yet.

I never bother. By the time I pot up into final home the plant has been supplemented. They usually just take off.

You may want to add some mycorrhizai and perlite to the medium.

I run Promix BX for all my grows with 40% perlite. Check out my journal for an idea how it works, I have less than zero plans to switch! I’ll tag you in the journal, hollar if you have questions.

I have no experience with that kind. Still peat based like the bx. So I would say it will do good.
I mix my promix BX with 25% perlite. Would probably do the same with that. I also have mixed fox farms the same 25% perlite. Just gives good drainage.
