7-8 years ago it was all the rage. Everyone was using it. Now I don’t see it in my local hydroponic store. I tried it on one grow, and did well, but it had it’s drawbacks.
Anyone still using it?

Here they sell it at Walmart, home Depot, Lowe’s in any garden shop plentiful
I’ve used and liked Promix HP but it is pricey and is non-renewable (peat).
Im currently using promix i got it at home depot
I bought Pro Mix Premium Organic Garden Mix 2 cu. ft. at wallyworld for under $11 . Now they stopped carrying it and Home Cheapo wants $20 for it.
Right now on my NL auto I’m using Black Gold from Ace and it’s pretty nice for the price. ILGM even recommends it for Auto’s. No matter what I buy I always add extra worm castings and perlite to it and you can reuse it each yr. Just add more castings and a few other good soil amendments and your good to go.
I also payed $20 which i felt was a bit high but then i looked on amazon and everyone was charging $20.99-21.99 so unfortunately $20ish is just the price on it
Facebook marketplace you can find people who buy pallets and sell leftovers.
I can usually find Ocean Forest or Happy Frog for 10 dollars for the big bags.
Perhaps Promix can be found in your area. Worth a look.
I’m presently using Pro Mix HP with Mycorrhizae and BIOFUNGICIDE. I had to pH adjust with lime and add 25% perlite to it. Last time I am using it. I shall use regular peat moss and add my own mycorrhizae (Great White) and Bonide Revitalize Biofungicide. I also re-use my peat moss without any adverse effects.
Fox Farms Ocean forest has been goid to me when done add it to composted pile and reused
I was at Home Depot yesterday and noticed all these different bags of ProMix. It might be cheaper than fox farms products at my garden store. Which one is best for indoor growing?
Hi the one with the most perlite or best drainage for potted plants you’ll be feeding so probably the red bag.
