Has anyone used this Pro Mix Premium Organic Garden Mix?? Im thinking it should be fine for cannabis with some perlite added in. Let me know if you have any insight!
Seems like a really good deal at $9!

Looks like a buffered medium so would have to supplement (and maybe adjust media PH).
By supplement do you just mean adding nutrients?
I planned on running the Fox Farm Trio and CalMag
Yes nutrients from the beginning to end
You should add some real growers recharge to your nutrient selection, money well spent.
It is, buy it up!
Appreciate the tip!
Im using it literally right now
Ive had good success with it
Well thats some really good news to hear, I ended up buying 4 bags of it!! I plan on filling at least 2 25Gal pots for next season.
And your plants look AMAZING, thanks for sharing!
I recommend a 2:1 ratio of that with worm castings that what I do
Thanks for the tip! Do you think the Earthworm castings are necessary even with utilizing the Fox Farm trio?
Earthworm castings, essentially worm poop, act as a natural fertilizer, providing essential nutrients to plants while also improving soil structure by increasing water retention, aeration, and promoting beneficial microbial activity, leading to healthier root systems and overall better plant growth; they can also help suppress plant diseases and pests by introducing beneficial microbes that fight pathogens. -Google
Its up to you but I would
lol I was really shocked at how well written that response was, the google quote on the end makes sense
But yeah seems like it cant hurt in moderation!
My friends and I ran it in our outdoor grows this year. My plants were in pots. I monitored runoff pH and EC throughout the season.
The pH seemed stable but I always adjusted the pH of the input water as necessary.
I started adding nutrients when the EC started to drop off. I used Jacks 321 at 25% strength in the beginning and ramped it up to full snort over the course of a month. I always go until I see the beginnings of nutrient burn on the leaf tips and then back off a smidge.
And, as others have mentioned, you should consider adding supplements as necessary to keep your soil healthy. . I give my plants a dose of recharge, kelp, and humic acid every few weeks. I also use unsulfurated black strap molasses during flower.
None of this is absolutely necessary but I saw big gains using my regimen versus the fire and forget approach of my friends. And they put up some VERY impressive plants.
Here’s a Moby Dick grown in a 5 gallon pot using the above recipe. That post is 7 foot tall. Happy growing.
