Pretty bummed about second grow

Plant looks great! Some plants droop more than others, some more or less at different veg/early flowering stages.

I’ll summon @merlin44 , as he uses Roots’ dry amendments with great success, and I “think” he has also used, or uses, Terp Tea Bloom.

Appreciate that. It seems pretty simple. But I am skeptical with using with other organic nutes that I’m using. Idk.

Yeah, and that’s good that you consider that. It’s easy to overdo it and/or to do too many nutes/nute lines at the same time, and then create nute burn and/or imbalances.

Thanks for the tag @Twelve1. I do use the entire Roots Organic dry line of nutrients with excellent results. If you are planning to mix and match nutrient lines, I suggest getting good handle on what is in each and how much of it. Alternatively, you can just go trial and error until you find what works for you.

I generally stick with a single line of nutrients and follow the published dosing charts. I hope that this is useful information for you to move forward @DevanGuy56288. Happy growing.

Thanks for the wisdom.
I’m using SimPro Formula. All veg up until last feeding when I started the transition from veg to flower.
I was in planning on watering next strait water and then start using only the Terp tea bloom as a top dressing for the rest of flower. I understand it’s super strong and may start off light.
I was also wondering about needing to stop before plants are done and do a flush? From what I’ve been told up to this point is that you don’t have to flush when using organic nutes. I seen some conflicting videos on you tube in regards of the Terp tea bloom. Some said to stop using at a certain point in flowe. Is that so or is it for better flavor?

I am sorry that I can’t answer most of your questions. I use all of the nutrients listed on the published guidelines for the Roots Organic dry line. I just follow the dosing recommendations in the chart and have had no problems. The only time I have flushed a plant (over five years of growing - so still new) is when I ended up with some serious soil issues that I needed to correct. Other than that, I just feed and water. Previously I used the Fox Farms trio. With that line I also just followed the chart but watered to runoff. I did not follow the flushing recommendations but everything else according to the chart. I hope this little bit of non-information helps a bit.

I should point out that many of my growing practices are not in line with the majority. Like @MidwestGuy, I blast my plants with light (900 - 1100 ppfd) and have never had any sort of burn issues. Due to the high light intensity, I also tend to feed heavily - The maximum that the chart suggests. I do give the seedlings a lower light level (300) and drop it a bit late in flower as well.

Have you used roots organic products after it’s said “expiration date?
That’s why I was wanting to use it because it’s set to expire next month. It’s sealed bag still I haven’t opened it.
I’m just going to run the same nutes for this while run and try something new next run.
Thank you.

The short answer is…“I ignore the expiration date on dry nutrients that are kept dry.”

When I used liquid nutrients I monitored the smell/odor. I used them until they did not smell like they did when new.

so thats what im confused about is because i watched the bruce bugbee video the one going around. What i got from that video was as long as you have the right enviorment and your plants are healthy they can handle kinda however much light you can throw at them?

I am no expert (and am not familiar with the video that you reference) so can’t really speak to this issue. What I can tell you is that the intensity of midday sunlight is around 2200 ppfd and plants that grow outside do quite well at those lighting levels. Even on an overcast day the intensity outside often exceeds my grow light intensity. I also notice that folks that have lower light levels have a lot more nutrient related issues than I have experienced.

Good to see you on @merlin44 , was just thinking about you yesterday.

Thanks @CC_Mo, it is good to see you as well. I have been mostly passive recently. I reply when tagged and occasionally a topic piques my interest.

Ok that makes a lot more sense with the sun being 2200ppfd. Do any indoor lights even come close to that? Yeah, I have to agree when I tried blurples I had so many problems that went away when I invested in a commercial light. I am just a beginner though so still have a lot to learn.

I just rewatched the video cannabis grow myths, Bruce Bugbee video, he actually has the sun being around 2000ppfd as well.

The plants can’t make use of much more than 1000 ppfd without added CO2, as I understand it. That is why I, along with many others, target 900 to 1000 ppfd when setting up our lights.

It would be very expensive to achieve 2000 ppfd indoors.

Ok that makes the numbers make more sense to me now. Thank you.

Day 31 ima say 4th day into flower….
I’ve been gone for a couple days and came back to significant growth. Before I left I topped dressed 3.

One has some light green leaves up top don’t know if that’s a deficiency or nute lock or burn but going to keep an eye on here. Other than that I think the are looking healthy and happy.

Next up for them is strait H2O then going to hit them with some SimPro Bloom Formula. Then some more Terp Tea. Getting a little aggressive with the feedings this go around to help but production to be better than my first run.
Happy growing y’all
