Prepped my space for the new grow tent kit

This area will be filled with a 3x3x6 39" Mars Hydro tent kit. I will install a smoke detector above the tent on the celling, and also purchased 2 ABC fire extinguishers and I pray ill never need to use them. Even though it’s indoor and I have no bugs, I will lightly coat the floor/bottom wall with Home Defense indoor bug spray. Hopefully this will keep any pests away like aphids/mites/gnats.

Why the smoke detector and 2 fire extinguishers?

Dont be silly you know why. Inside my freaking tent is 80 degrees cause of couple warm days in worcester ma and ive got a dehumidifier and air conditioner going in lung room, sitting out on my deck having a few white claws and a few puffs, shoot think we turn back clocks soon , dont like it being that warm in tent, big fan leaves feeling a little dry on a plant,

Is there a pile of white phosphorus or silane in your tent? If not, the only way the tent can get hot enough to catch fire is for the room to be on fire.

Personally, i would look into a humidifer, given that that your lung room seems to be inside of a home. Its good to have smoke detectors and fire extinguishers in your home, but the chances of needing them for your grow only are slim to none. As long as you have a good exhaust system in your tent and carbon filter for the smell, you should be good bro! Aside from a fan to circulate air in the tent too.

Just installed it. You never know if a short circuit may come out of nowhere in ur lights or fans or carbon intake, humidifier, etc. or if something overheats and catches fire. better safe than sorry…

And if it gives you peace of mind plus it could be a lifesaver who knows

With your indoor grow also, you will more then likely not deal with as many pest as you think. Gnats are a common thing for indoor, because you can bring them home from the grocery store on potatos or bananas etc. But if you dont see them flying about your home all the time, its probably not going to be an issue. Ants have never really been a problem with me, and i live in sandy ant infested soil at my house and i have my grow in a shed outside that is not sealed for bugs at all lol

The biggest thing i have learned with growing indoor/in a tent is to try to maximize your footprint space the best you can.

I have my room set up as a 3x4x8 room. And i figured that i would be able to run 4 plants in that space.

I wound up only doing two, and they both filled the space, using topping, low stress training technique, and a screen called a scrogg screen to help spread the branches out further. After i grew two plants and filled the 3x4 area, i was hesitant to grow more then two after that, but im trying three this time to see how it goes in the space! All of these have been photo period plants.

Your medium you grow in is important, and the light you choose is important. Airflow, light ppfd, and humidity are all factors in having a successful grow.

I chose organic soil mixture, fabric pots with self watering bases, a 400w Vevor LED grow light and a 6 inch ac infinity exhaust fan and filter! :metal:

I use the fox farm trio aswell when watering into the self watering bases!

The tent comes with the scrogg net, but i wont be topping being that its auto-seeds. I’ll try LST and feed it through the scrogg net. I’ll also use organic soil in 5gal fabric pots. I’m going to grow 2 plants. This is the setup, waiting for it to arrive.

Most of the time your fungus gnats larvae is laying dormant in the medium, ive had them appear after watering roots organic, happy frog, ocean forest all of them is usually where they come from

yep… this is why i want to go the coco coir/perlite route. but too much mixing nutes and watering constantly… i do hate gnats & aphids. i know there’s a spray you can use, but i dont like to spray the plants with anything but water, if that. Lots of growers who gets bags of soil says they get gnats from the soil no matter if its organic or not.
