Another newbie grow! š± It's likely to be a rough road but you are more than welcome to ride along. Feel free to give advice or ask questions. When you ask yourself if this guy has a clue, the answer is,,, not yet.
This grow journal is late in starting. I just flipped seven plants. 1- Cherry Pie, 1- La Confidential, 4- Gelato and 1-CBD Ratio 30-1.
Wish me luck.
I got you man! Get some pics of you ladies up so we can all OOOHH and AAAHHH!
So, this is what I have been able to accomplish watching YouTube vids and reading countless guides from more experienced growers.
This is actually day three of the flip.
First question. This girl is supposed to be a photo period plant but while still on veg light schedule she went into flower. This pic was taken the day before I changed the timing. There has been no interuptions, no problems with my timers or power supply. She is three months old just like the rest and no other plants show any sign of budding. Sheās a CBD Ratio 30 - 1 strain (the only high cbd plant I have). @Holmes
looks like you still have the farming knack in ya!
Thanks. I did let them go a little long in veg. I was putting together another room for starting clones (why not jump in the deep end when just learning, right). It took longer than I figured but I finally took the cuttings just before changing the timers. Itās going to be thick in that room after the stretch.
Let me introduce āThe Beastā.
Sheās a Gelato.
You can see in the closet pic that my plants are all kinda trained to grow a little differently. Iām experimenting with shaping the structure to produce the best canopy.
She went well.
I topped her at two sets of nodes. She grew stronger than the other three Gelato and shaped like a square table top.
She has probably 30% more bud sites than the others as well.
Looks like youāre off to an excellent start, keep up the good work!
Wow, youāre gonna have a lot of weed when those are finished, nice looking grow!
Showing this many pistils before actually changing the lights schedule is a good sign in my book. Aggressive preflowers just means sheās ready to go.
Thanks. I just wish Iād found this forum earlier. I would have probably flipped them much sooner if I had.
Thanks. Having a blast showing off the meds.
@MoBilly. Wow. Just wow! Wish my girls looked like that!
Looking healthy. My problems always start in flower
Thanks @JaneQP. Iām like a kid on Christmas eve looking forward to seeing them covered with buds. The four Gelato were free seeds and after I read up on them I learned that theyāre not exactly for beginners like me. I decided to try anyway. It was fairly difficult tuning in the right levels of nutrients. Before that there was a lot of leaf discolorationā¦ They are forgiving once you get that lined out and keep a very regular watering schedule. They bounced back well.
Yep. Iām not about to relax until they finish out. From what Iāve read Gelatos are bad about going downhill in a very quick way if anything goes South. The seeds were free so even though their not āfor beginnersā I decided to give it a try.
@MoBilly I will have to look into that strain.
Hi there, there are some strains known collectively as semi autos, Lebanese is one. These are not ruderal auto crosses, they have a tendancy to enter flower regardless of light timing, but not always. The same mothers seed can produce some plants that have early flowering tendencies and other seeds that wont fliwer until you say so. Those look very happy nice grow!
Thanks @Cannabian. I was at a loss trying to figure this out. I was pretty sure it wasnāt my doing and autos, as was stated, tend to flower well before three months. I hope she does well. Itās the only plant I have thatās high cbd content. I plan to blend with the others to fine tune the effects to my needs.
Nice! Are you flipping the lights soon? Or still vegging the others ?
