I tried to give you more than one like for this one  I was told to use potassium silicate a long time ago and that it helped the plants grow stronger and more resilient to all kinds of things. I always call it my plants vitamins along with aloe vera I’ve been using them for quite a while. This article was very informative I definitely appreciate that you shared it with us… thank you @MidwestGuy

@MO_Grow417 this is a good read

I always use silica in my grows because you can actually see and feel the results. It’s a good idea not to use too much until you are done training. Training a stiff plant is difficult. I’m in 10-gal pots and I add 5ml to one gallon each feeding after I am done training the plant.

I start adding it to my pots when I start them to cook, that’s a couple weeks before planting in them. I use the powder AgSil 16 h from kis at 1/2 tsp per gallon, I should probably use it on a schedule but I just put it in whenever I think it’s time normally once every week to ten days.

Great read, thanks for sharing @MidwestGuy I am using concentrated soluble potassium silicate (AgSil). Just be careful for sure as it is extremely basic. I didn’t catch it for a bit until I have a plant with ph out of balance (to high). I been battling that so definitely be careful and check ph until you feel comfortable using it. Definitely good benefits just be wary of the ph changes. Never good to have nute lockout due to high ph. She’s coming around though. Thanks again :v::call_me_hand:

Look i brought volcanic rock dust fertilizer and it has a really good silica % and its has all the mirco and macro nutrients plus npk aswell and it works well

I just started using diatomaceous earth as a silica booster for my organic grows , the girls seem to be responding well so far.

I had to go look at my silica supplement. It is, indeed, a concentrated potassium silicate. :+1: lucky :joy:

Thanks I use Silica Boost or Rhino Skin.
both derived from potassium silicate
I saved the link to my reference file.
Others should grab in now before / or if it is taken down. This is some what inconsistent. Usually, strictly reference links for info only I have not had a problem with. However, I have had them taken down too.

Well I was using cyco silica but the hydro store by me never seems to have a reasonable priced bottle lol only 2.5 gal jugs. So I have since switched back to armor so as they always have 100 1lt bottles of that lol. Now anyone have any good ideas on making some good homemade tribus cuz that shiz is expensive. 175 for a good sized bottle and it only last a grow and a half to 2 grows. Nuts I’ve seen take milk and water in a jug cover with plastic and leave set in sun for a month or 2 then strain curds and the liquid left is ur homemade tribus. Is it really that easy. Can u leave the milk inside a home or a garage or does it have to be in the sun do u know. I wanna try and make some for that’s and giggles but if it’s gonna be a waste if rather not. It if we can make a gallon or so of tribus for 5 bucks or so I’m down for that too cuz I pay 185 for like a litre of it now. So far 4 grows I’m down 2 litres and 2 half litre bottles but they did alot of plants so far. At least 12 per grow

Hmmm, I have 100s of pounds of that.

Use it , I mixed 6 tablespoons with each 5 gallon pot of coco so it’s more like soils natural silica then starting week 4 I top dress with 2 tablespoons every 2 weeks(along with other amendments)
