Pot size and transplanting before flower

So i have limited space in my veg tent. I run all my veg plants in 1 gallon coco filled fabric pots until it’s time to transplant into 10 gallon fabric pots (promix hp) and immediately put into the flowering tent becausethe 10 gallons won’t fit in the veg tent. I only water/ feed when the pots feel dry after placing into flower. In veg they are on an automatic watering system (top feed). The flowering plant usually fills up a 4x4 tent after the stretch. After harvest i notice the roots only fill up about 50% of the pot.
Should i be running a smaller pot than a 10 gallon?
Have you had any issues transplanting then immediately placing into flower?

I run 3 gallon with Promix and Autopots. Jack’s 3-2-1 program. I usually harvest around 12 oz. per plant of dried flower.

3 gallon pots work well for me in 2x 4 and 3 x 4 grow spaces. I’m averaging 6 ounces on the low end and 8-10 on the high end with autos and photo period plants. Maintaining the grow space is easier as well :love_you_gesture:
