Pot Brownie Advice

Well heck, I’ve successfully made it close to retirement with ever making OR eating a pot brownie. With that said - please help me change that!! LOL

I figure the best way to get in the activated THC is to decarb and make canna-butter or canna-oil to use in the recipe. Since time is of the essence, I have 21 grams of bud I just decarbed, but not time to infuse any oils.

Will a brownie mix be decent if I grind the decarbed bud finely into powder in my spice grinder and use straight into the mix like that? Any tips will be appreciated to give a batch of Alice B Toklas a try. In those days, did they use ground weed…they may not have made butters in those early days? Will the ground weed give the brownie an undesirable texture?

If I do the weed direct method, will 21 G be ok in a batch? This is White Widow and its pretty darn strong. I can try a small brownie to learn the best dose.

First you must decarboxylate your raw material. Use the whole plant minus the roots. This will give you the highest medicinal effect.

Heat oven to 200-212 degrees. Put desired plant material in a mason jar and seal the top. Put jar in oven for 45 minutes.
After decarboxylation remove from oven and let it cool over night. This will allow the terpenes to absorb into the plant material.

Fill this jar with Organic Coconut Oil. Fill to the top of the jar covering all the plant material.
Cook in a water bath at 118 degrees for 5 days. Stir occasionally.
Remove from water bath and filter Coconut Oil. Squeeze the material to remove all the oil.
Re-fill the jar with new oil and heat for an additional 3 days. Remove from water bath and filter.

Now add Sunflower liquid Lecithin. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons to one cup of coconut oil.


Lately I just decarb, grind finely. Add 1gram into premade peanut butter dough. Add bit of butter to the dough for moistness. (One gram per cookie)


You don’t want my shatter cookie recipe, you’ll OD! That was months ago and I haven’t been high since!


I make peanut butter cookies cowers taste pretty good and uses a decent amount of oil

I takes all of 30-90 minutes to make budder. If you have a pressure cooker, it’ll take you 30 mins to extract the cannabinoids from your decarbed weed, then you just have to strain out the greens.

Don’t make it harder than necessary. :grinning:


When you get the decarbolxiation right without overcooking it, then it’s comparable to any hallucinogenic! I even suffered loss of balance! I wasn’t right for days! It was only later I found out that 150 mg. was sufficient, my cookies were over 2,000 mg., tasted like shatter, and made me blow lunch an hour later! I made 12 cookies, 11 are still in the freezer!

Next time (if there is a next time) I’m gonna freeze the shatter and a coffee grinder then pulverize sugar with the shatter to make it more manageable and measurable!

Dissolve it in a 1/4 cup of alcohol and add as needed (will work in brownies) or use as a tincture.

I make butter in the crock pot this way:

First I shake a batch of kief as that’s my wife’s favorite. I then decarb the remainder and add in any loose sugar leaf trim to make my dosage. Decarb at 240 for 45 minutes, add into crock pot with coconut oil and water (24 oz/8oz respectively), 1 tablespoon of soy lecithin, cook for 4 hours and strain and separate.

Use 1 to 1 as a replacement for butter. If you want to weaken it you can cut the coconut oil with untreated oil or butter. The lecithin helps uptake of the THC.

Hey @Shatter I was just looking for how to make cookies out of a bunch of shatter I have here that is just too harsh on my lungs to dab. I was hoping to use the 5 grams I have to make oatmeal cranberry chocolate chip cookies. Do you have any recommendations for how to cook with it?

Yea man, freeze it then grind it into some sugar, that’ll not only sweeten the shatter for better flavor but also helps when making it uniform throughout the “center” of the cookie!

I say center because that’s where it needs to be to avoid any burning like it would on the edges or exposed surfaces like the top and bottom.

use two cookie balls to start with, press one surface of each ball into the shatter sugar then mate the two halves together creating a laminate shatter layer through the center, then place them on your cookie sheet with the shatter layer horizontal, then place the sheet on the center rack in the the oven (preheated to 375 or 400f. ) for 10 to 12 minutes, these variables are for personal preference on how you like your cookies. The important thing is the shatter is in a cocoon protected from the high temperatures and preserves allot more turpines and THC.

If it’s mixed throughout the cookie it’ll be a CBN “sleeper” cookie. Better than sleeping pills.

No the cooking process did it. They came out bull kick to the head potent!
