Possible Magnesium Issue?

Hey there. New to the forums here. Have a question regarding some obvious issues.

Current indoor grow using Pro Mix BX, with only extra perlite added, in 3 & 5 gallon fabric pots.

Well water out of the spigot- (before nutes etc.) Using calibrated Blue Labs meter/pens
PH @ 7.6
160 PPM
EC .2

Pro Mix medium drifts from PH 5.5-6.2 (Blue Labs soil pen)

Everything had been going great for the last 7 weeks. Been using TPS full line of nutes per their “soiless” medium charts, and adjusting PH to a flat 6.0, after several feedings, I have developed some intense issues. I had fed each watering, except the last where I flushed with straight PH 6.0 water (no nutes)

Being a newbie to indoor, I’ve never ran into this issue.

Any thoughts or advice?

Youre locked out it looks like. Need to get that ph up to around 6.5 and check run off ppms…

Hamg on if youre in coco then you need to be 5.8 5.9

I’m in ProMix BX with a bit extra perlite mixed in….”soiless” as they call it. My runoff after flushing with plain water PH@ 6.0, measures 5.8.

What are the input PPMs of your nutrient mix :love_you_gesture:

At each feeding, the PPM was around 4-500.

So, I flushed everything with PHd water and collected the runoff. Was shocked to see values in excess of 3000PPM. I believe my problem stemmed from not watering to run off properly thus far. Part of that was due to my not wanting to saturate the medium all the time. (PRO Mix BX)

Definitely a learning experience. Had never used fabric pots before either and to even get runoff, I had to pop some holes in the bottoms of the containers. These are AC infinity fabric pots, and are quite thick.

Hopefully the flushing will help!

:point_up_2: agree and the accumulated salt build up may have tanked the PH putting certain nutrients out of range for absorption :love_you_gesture:
