Okay I’ve tried posting this before now so here goes again with the same story… I found some seeds from an old bag of marijuana and was able to germinate three of them. After sprouting 6 to 8 weeks later two of the three developed male sex organs. Now I have a plant that has been in veg for 2 months probably more in veg stage but shows no female sex organs. I don’t know what to do at this point, do I send it into flowering do I wait in veg longer to see? I’ll attach some pictures any and all helps will be greatly appreciated.
Please, if you need additional photos or info just ask! All I’ve done to the plant is a little super cropping and some topping / FIM’ing / LST.
Because I let it grow too wildly before reading and realizing I needed to top it or super crop it in order to grow indoors in my available space
@StrayFox keep an eye out. From what I can tell, she’s too young to sex yet. So it’s a waiting game at this point. Happy growing.
Agreed, I can’t see any genitalia.
You’ll have to let it veg for a long time to see any indication of Sex. You could take a clone, let it root, and put it in 12/12. Or, you could put it into 12/12 until it reveals itself.
The first will take about 2-4 weeks. The second will show results in 1-2 weeks, but revegging will slow things down a bit.
P.S. You don’t even have to wait for it to root, put it in 12/12 right away and often it’ll show sex before roots, lol.
Happy growing,
MacG
I guess I’ve been wasting a week

Thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it.
I mean, I’m no closer to finding the sex of my plant but at least I know I’m not crazy. I have downloaded the grow Bible, I got that as soon as I sprouted three seedlings. Ever since then I had slowly assembled a little grow operation inside, nothing fancy or expensive but it’s been doing the trick. The only thing that’s been throwing me off is that I sprouted three seedlings from seeds that I collected from previous bags of… fruit? Haha anyways, after about a month 2 of the 3 plants showed Male bits, but the last one hasn’t given me any sign and it’s been over 2 months now since it first popped up in my solo cup. Is this normal? From what I’ve read it’s wishy-washy on when you can sex your plant. Keep in mind that I grew this from a mystery seed, a bag seed. I’m in Salem Oregon so I was able to go to a dispensary and pick up a clone which I noticed the major differences between the two plants I have now. The Clone already had it sex organ showing, which coincides with what someone was saying about cutting a clone off of it and putting it on a 12-12. But isn’t it about time to put it into flowering? I mean my clone still has a ways to go, and I need to figure out how to super crop and top it yada yada yada. It’s kind of confusing cuz this my first time growing and now I’ve got a 2 + month old mystery from seed and then a clone that’s about 4 to 6 weeks old, and from what I gather there’s different specific techniques used for LST on clones vs. Seedlings.
The first 3 pics are of my mystery bagseed plant,
These are of my clone, with obvious female sex organs. It’s pretty amazing, and strange when I first got it and was looking at it before it dawned on me that this was a branch from another plant that had already matured.
These are pics from either one or both of the 2 Male plants that sprouted with my mystery plant.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, since all three seats came from the same bag, crop, whatever you want to call it, and all three sprouted at the same time, how come two of them show their male sex bits after a month or so while the third plant hasn’t shown any signs?
It will show under 12/12 light schedule. You can either flip the plant or take a cutting from it and put that under 12/12.
Awesome! That’s what I was looking for, because I think I’ve let it grow long enough while still leaving room Within my grow box for flowering. Otherwise, if I let it go anymore it’ll be too big once I put it into flowering. I mean it’s been growing strong with plenty of light, air circulation, and food / fertilizers for over 2 months now.
@StrayFox Here is a great ILGM resource to help you out
