I have been growing for about 6 years now and have never had this problem. I have a 5x4 grow room with a 7 ft ceiling. On this grow, I switched to flower cycle when plants were 12 to 14 inches tall. They are now over the lights and touching the ceiling. The led lights were kept at about 18 inches over the plants the whole time but I can’t raise the ceiling. Any suggestions on why they did this and is there anything I should do at this point? Or just roll with it.
Interesting situation. I had a similar one or two. If you didn’t enjoy LST remember next time. It’s hard to say how leggy a given strain gets based on lighting humidity and temps. Can you bend anything over or are they stiff branches now? PS I rolled with it had to cut a light burned cola or two.
No problem with burnt class. Leds aren’t hot. But the best colas are above the lights. I hadn’t thought of bending them down. I will try that. I really have never used LST, but will start trying that. Thanks from Hawaii!
I meant light burned from LED it can happen and your colas above lights will still grow from energy being created below.
If the stems have not hardened off you could do some super cropping. How far into flower?
Yea, I am seeing that now.
They are about 4 weeks into flowering. Let’s hope they are done growing!
They should be, stretch usually lasts 2-3 weeks. Stalks should still be pliable enough for supercropping.
