Plants are turning yellow and I can't figure it out

I’ll definitely do that! :sunglasses:

Thank You for the advice. Lowes buckets are 4 or 5 gallon and I drilled drain holes and put them on large flower pot saucers. I’ll look into fabric pots for sure. To be honest I started out without having a clue as to what I was doing. I got a bag of pH down yesterday to make adjustments with.

Yes, I raised the lights up a couple of inches. Thank you for the tip. ILGM cut off my replies for 23 hours yesterday because I am a newby.

One thing that really hit home was you said to SLOWLY change the pH. I was reading the Grow Bible and saw that the pH had to be a lot lower - so I panicked and tried the change it all at once. Do you think I could have “shocked” the pants with the big pH change?

I doubt that they were shocked. These plants are extremely resilient and can bounce back from some severe conditions. My first grow was a nightmare. All kinds of environmental issues like too hot, not humid enough, under watering than overwatering, PH issues along with overfeeding. I still managed about 4.5oz from one plant. It was not the most dense or frosty but still worked.

Thanks to everyone’s good advice the plants live and are doing good again! I ended up moving the lights up a couple of inches, I now check the water pH immediately before I use it, and I have given them cal/mag a couple of times. The only thing that doesn’t look quite right now is the very tiny tips of the leaves are yellow - but I can’t be certain if this isn’t something left over from the bad pH thing. BTW, after this grow I will throw out the soil and start over with the good stuff .Thanks again for the help.
