I know! He had FOUR of them in a 2x2x6 tent. Recently got a huuuuuge industrial light and put them in a new 5x5 tent.
I told him he might as well make some rope, or knit a sweater out of the hemp he’s growing at this point @PharmerBob ![]()

They usually die when going into flower
@PharmerBob Guess he’s got a cool new tent and light to start over if that happens to him.
Let’s try to get @Buckster some help though. Still need to know exact medium and other info. He said a “mix”, so there may be hope or even a transplant in his future!

Alright, right away I have questions.
What KIND of soil. Is it just bagged miracle gro soil you get from the store, like potting mix?
They’re in lowes buckets you say. What size gallon. Are there holes in the bottom of them for drainage? I’m not familiar with them. In the future I’d recommend going fabric pots (they’re cheap online). I used 3s, but I’m going to start in 5s next time.
Also… pH is a PROBLEM. Soils needs to be around 6.8 for proper nutrient absorption of various nutrients!! Coco is lower in the 5s. You need to sort that out PRONTO. I purchased a small kit of pH Up and pH down. Has a little pipette to use to add to your water. Test again and see how much you usually need to get it around 6.7-6.8. This is NECESSARY!! I’ve found this out first hand
Had to go look at the bags, but here it is : 1 part (bucket full) MG Potting Mix
1 part (bucket full) Pro Mix potting soil
1 part (bucket full) Peat Humus
12 bag Vermiculite
Problem with fixes here @ThermoNukePanda
Autos!
Anything at this point will put serious stress on these plants
Transplant - flower and possible stunt/kill
Flush - cause time released nutes to flood the medium -kill
Try to steer in a better direction - could be too far gone and cause further killing/stunting of plant
Do nothing - …
Auto flowers are the most finicky plants ever
This is the route I would take, with allowing the plant to utilize the nutrients that are already there for them
@PharmerBob Sometimes… SOMETIMES transplants are necessary. You’re welcome to check out my journal and the help I received. We had to transplant one of ours, even into flower stage, from a 3 gal to a 7.
I… was… WORRIED. I know it’s frowned upon cause I read a lot of that as well. However, to treat a drastic problem sometimes you have to try. You’re going to lose the patient anyways if you don’t try!
You should see the difference in 2 short weeks after transplant!
Cheers to you though. Autos I’ve read are finicky and I’ve been on the edge of my seat for almost 2 months now.
I was just hypothesizing based on his input of soil, and he’s straight miracle gro it seems ![]()
Again, I’m no pro and it’s my first attempt
Your welcome to check mine as well, I will look into yours
It’s not a transplant as much as it would be a full removal of soil washed from the plant and set into a new vessel
@PharmerBob I will! I enjoy learning and reading everyone’s stuff here. Just saying @PurpNGold74 helped me a lot with the transplant I was worried about.
edit and yeah, I see the problem with full removal. It’s a Sunday… I’m enjoying a nice cone already haha
He could strip the mg soil using a salt cleaner tho !
Flora kleen maybe
Again this will most definitely stunt your grow and cause them to go into flower
I agree that it looks to be a PH/MG soil problem. I think we all go through this in the beginning when we first start growing. There’s a lot of terminology that needs to be understood. When I first started growing I didn’t understand a lot of it. The two main things to understand are PPM (parts per million) this the amount of dissolved solids in your water including any nutrients. It’s best to keep PPM on the low side when adding nutes and slowly increase to the recommended PPM. PH is how acidic or base your water is even RO water needs to have the PH checked and adjusted. Like others have mentioned MG is not the soil you want. I did my first grows using living soil and FFOF. Soil is difficult to get your PPM readings in line because soil already has some nutrients in it so you’re always trying to hit the sweet spot for your nutrients which is difficult to do. With soil you need to get some runoff numbers and adjust accordingly which for me was a PIA. I don’t think transplanting an auto at that stage would be wise. I would ride with it and try to adjust things going forward. Unfortunately this is how we all learn this hobby. Without mistakes we’d never know what not to do.
Your learning very fast, nice job @ThermoNukePanda
@Buckster you definitely need that pH lower. The plants can’t absorb nutrients at that pH. I would just give her water with a zero nitrogen cal mag, pH it prior to feeding. I would use pH down instead of vinegar. As you saw, vinegar quickly drifts back up, it will do this in soil too.
Keep an eye on your run off ppms and pH. I suspect ppms are high since your in MG. Like purp says, flushing will just increase your nitrogen, it’s time released. I wouldn’t add any extras at this point except a pk booster.
Also, you may want to look into more ventilation and more light for flower. ![]()

Some of this looks like light burn, did you have your light lower at one time?
The new growth is over the top of it, so it looks like it’s a past issue.
@Covertgrower happy birthday
Thanks @TEGRITY keep’em green!
Happy birthday @Covertgrower. Smoke a few bowls for me. ![]()
