hi i was wondering has any one planted directly into clay pellets. i have my seeds soaking in water. i was just curious once the tap root starts to form. may i put her in clay pellets without any issues. thank you.
Could…but, roots need to stay moist. rockwool cubes will do that. Once roots grow past rockwool cube…you can transplant to clay pellets.
I’ve never used rockwool before. Can you germ directly in a rockwool cube? Like put a seed in it and soak the whole cube, seed and all, in ph’ed water until it sprouted. Then put the cube in clay pellets, or another DWC medium, put a dome over and and start with the misting and top watering (or drip ring)?
I’m just trying to make sure I got the process right in my head.
I fill my dwc net pot to the top of the holes with clay pellets an put a cup full of coco or any other seed starter soil on top an start mine straight in the pot
