Pink trichomes!

Hi, Im growing Strawberry Cough, named her Ginger. Saw some beautiful strawberry colors in the trichomes.
She’s been flowering for 6 weeks. This color does NOT look like the amber color when they are ready. Is this normal?

Also, when it is listed in your guide lines, “10 weeks to flower” does that mean switch the lights to 12/12 for flowering AFTER 10 weeks of veg…or does it mean harvest should be 10 weeks after its flipped?

Thank you. sorry I couldnt get a picture of that beautiful strawberry color.

Welcome to the forum @Janej
The 10 weeks is an estimate of flowering time. So once the plant begins flowering it will take about ten weeks to finish. Some people count flowering on the day they flip to 12/12 and others wait till they see the small buttons of pistils then start counting.
The truth is the 10 weeks is only an estimate. I have had plants ready at 8 weeks and others take 16.
You need to watch the trichomes for a milky color that takes place in the clear ones. Even if they are pink, they will still have a clearness that will become milky in appearance.
We would love to see a few pics. Look forward to seeing more posts.

Welcome to the forum.

Ok these pictures aren’t great. the only way to get them was to hold the loop onto the camera lense w one hand and take the picture w the other…not so great but you can see a pink trichome head here and there.
