Phrostys Indoor grow journal

Completely new to this, have a 4x2x6 grow tent stuffed in my office closet. Starting Day 1 of growing Northern Lights and Special Queen #1. Have a heating pad set to low with a humidity dome with each in a saturated jiffy pellet. As a backup, I’ve also went the damp paper towel method in a sealed container.

Day 3, single seed sprouted using paper towel method while both jiffy pellet seeds sprouted. 2 empty jiffy pellets watered for humidity.

Congrats Growmie and I would recommend potting those up after cutting away as much of that leaf net as possible. Burry the gangly one up to an inch below the cotys :love_you_gesture: final pot for autos and you could go to a smaller pot then up pot if their photo periods.

Thanks for the info, they are photos, what size pot should I move them to?

I recommended the transplant because the gangly one will continue to stretch and fall over. You could leave them in the peat nets and put them in a solo cup of soil for a few weeks then cut the net away and transplant to their final pot :love_you_gesture:

Gotcha. Should I keep another solo cup over it during this time for humidity?

Yes, the RH should be around 65-75% inside the dome and misting the inside will help :love_you_gesture:

Day 6: Transplanted both jiffy pellets (fabric removed) to small pots containing a 70/30 mix of coco/perlite

Nice work Growmie, keep the clear solo cup over them for 10 days or so misting the inside of the dome daily. Coco will need to remain damp and I would suggest watering a nice ring outside the solo cup to promote root growth :love_you_gesture:

Question, should I turn off the heating mat at this point?

I leave mine on through 14 days or so then I transplant. You’ve already done the transplant so I would leave it on :love_you_gesture:

Day 7:

Don’t think they’re looking too good post transplant compared to pre transplant. Watered around the solo cup and misted the inside.
