Can feminized seeds be pheno hunted? or are they exact clones of the mother?
For what I know about genetics, this is what I would say.
Seeds from one plant have the same Genotypes, but each carries different Phenotypes and will grow differently based on its individual genetics received from the parents.
Clones are an exact replica of the exact genetics of the mother plant.
So you can technically grow multiple plants of the same strain, and breed the best plants together based on the genetic attributes you are looking for.

Sure they can, was a great explanation by @Vexer. Personally I have always had better luck with regs as mother plants. But you can do with fem too.

These are all S1 or F2 seeds from gorrilla glue that hermaphidited and pollinated itself or another female. Ive been using them because its all i got at the moment. I just wanted to post to show you guys seperate Phenotypes in my grow.
These are all genetically identical plants yet some show Indica traits. Some show Hybrid like Sativa Leaves on Indica body. Its wierd how every seed is a little different i like it. Im going to plant them outdoors in the spring and before they flower im gonna take clones of each so if 1 plant gives me a pound of 25% Thc dope and the rest yield 2 ounces im gonna keep the genetics of the best as a mother or to breed with.
Im gonna get a clone of an F1 HYBRID gorrilla glue from my buddy to see if his gorrilla glue is different than my S1 or F2 gorrilla glue. It will be awhile but i will post pictures of my results. Im gonna order some gorrilla glue seeds online and compare my S1/F2 plants to my buddies gorrilla glue he got cloned from a medical grower. And my gorrilla glue from the seed bank online.

Ive wondered if my grow enviroment and style of growing changes the plant…
For example all my friends keep their lights far away and they Top their plants and do wierd shit their plants always turn into Tall bushes. Mine i keep the light as close as i can a 1200 watt LED shoved up 1 foot away or until it barely doesnt burn them. I also use extreme LST and bend mine flat for light penentration. I dont chop on them i just bend and wire them down. The small branches i hang fishing sinkers off my branches.
I also keep a dehumidifier runnining 24/7 the air is cold about 65-70 and 30-40% humidity max. This increases my plants chance of showing indica traits since i start them in a cold dry enviroment where they dont have to stretch for light. I dont know maybe its all genetics but most the dope we got these days are MUTTS. mixed breeds. “Mostly indica” or “mostly sativa” because they are not pure. Any seed can grow like an indica or sativa or a hybrid. I got inbred seeds showing all traits except Tall and stretched.
