I had a thought yesterday after getting high. Does it matter about the ph for germinating? I havent heard anyone mention it. It seems to me that after the seed pops and it starts growing a tail, that it might do better in 6.2 spring water. Im starting godfather, granddaddy purple, purple kush and super silver haze seeds today. What the hell. Im going to ph from now on. It certainly cant hurt them. Will they be more robust, better mortality rate. I hope so. I will post results later. Happy growing
It’s actually better to soak/germinate seeds in water that is free of mineral content, like R/O, distilled, or some pure bottled waters. In this case, pH is not a concern because without any mineral content there is no true pH.
I’ve not had issues using my tap. I put about 20ml in a medicine cup, 2 or 3 drops of peroxide, then dunk. I’ve used distilled, bottled water and peroxide, also. I’ve not really noticed a difference. The fast seed I’ve had crack/root/sprout I germed in a 50/50 of tap and Fish Sh!t, minus peroxide. It was topside less in less than 3 from dry seed. Fish Sh!t is just too expensive, tho.
Thanks, thats good to know. I checked our boþtled spring water it was 6.3
I use RO and a dash of hydrogen peroxide in a small, glass bottle.
@Borderryan22 Happy Canniversary!
Very seldom do actual new questions appear around here lol so it’s nice to see something new to me at least lol.
I use distilled.
Never thought about it. I am going to drop a couple of CBDs soon and will lower the pH on one. Not a controlled experiment at all with a population of two!
