I had claw leaves So i flushed it. Tested my runoff and it w as really low 4.5. I am using happy frog soil in a 5 gallon bucket. i flushed with ph 6.5. I habe to water tomorrow and i am going to check the runoff again. What am i supposed to do if it is low. Should i raise my ph to 7.0 when water tomorrow. I was scared when i seen that. I am using lotus as nutrients just switch to these. After the flush my plant looks alot better. I only flushes with 3 gallons of water. Thats what i wastold to do
The problem with water is it’s easy to move the PH of it vs. soil. So usually the water adopts the PH of the medium. A better way would be to add some dolomitic lime or oyster flour to the medium; top dress it in.
Get some fine cut dolomite lime and gently mix a few Tablespoons worth into the top inch of your soil. It will probably be a couple weeks before you notice but this will start to buffer ph.
Welcome , my first thoughts with a 4.5 PH Have you verified your meter in a new clean bottle of 7 PH solution. Overall plant looks good.

During gardening season Walmart will usually have small bags of it. Big box home improvement stores too. You can maybe check with an Ace hardware if you have one locally. This time of year you will probably have to go to a greenhouse supply or hydroponic shop to find it. Amazon should have several different brands if you want it quickly.
If your runoff is truly that low, 3 gallons will not flush it out! It may take 3 times the container capacity to flush enough to reset your soil. You should flush until you get to 6.5 and follow up with a half strength feed right after the flush.
I will know that then. Thats what i thought to do. Until another grower said only 3 buckets. I dont think he knew what was going on. After all the research I did Getting some lime to put in the soil. But i will remember that next time. Thank you
