I have been checking the ph level of my water I used . I am getting spots and droopy leaves, I checked and it’s not bugs or fungus. so I checked runoff water and it was too acidic. How do I get my ph level back up? Do I need to water with a higher ph to bring it back up? This is all new and so many things to remember. Thanks for any advice you can send my way.
Flush your soil with ph stable water phd to 6.8. Usually takes 3x the total volume of your pot (ie 5 gallon pot takes 15 gal water) flush until runoff is 6.8ph and close to the tds of the water your using.
Then allow to drip. After about 10 mins of dripping feed your plant ph of 6.5-6.8
What kind of nutes are you using?
Tiger bloom buds and blooms. Fox farm. Big bloom. I’ve been doing this every other watering.
You can use baking soda to bring up ur ph in ur soil or Dolomite lime
Photos always help.
What was runoff pH?
What pH to you feed & water at?
Age of plants?
Soil?
Fox farm nutrients are notorious for buiding up. That is why it recommends regular flushes.
The best and safest way to reset soil ph is to flush / wash the accumulated salts out of the soil with pH adjusted water. Monitor runoff while flushing for pH and PPM. Usually the two go hand-in-hand. As pH rises PPM should be dropping from the starting numbers. When you are getting to desired numbers run nutrient solution at the very end.
Runoff was around 5.0. What I use to water has been 6-6.5. I just ran 9 gallons of 6.8 through my two worst plants. Runoff is up to 6.1. They were planted June 6 and have been up 6 weeks. Soil is Foxfarm Ocean Forest. How do I measure ppm? Plants are amnesia haze auto flowers. They are about 3-4’ tall and blooming. This is my first try at this and I sure appreciate your help. It would be best to let the plant recover. 9 gallon flush? Are you in mud now??
I feel your pain. Im nursing one back to bealth now.
Plant is in a grow bag. It sat in the sink and drained, so not too muddy. I am going to let it alone and see if it recovers.
