Ok here is my concern watered last night and got some run off the Only thing I added was Recharge 5 days ago other than that just ro water. Ppm was 1590 and ph was 5.6 I then checked my water that has been oxygenated with a small aquarium pump that was 7.1. Ok why wide range of ph?

Forgot this is the first time I got any run off

@Bobo,

oxygenated pH of 7.0 is totally neutral, 1.0 to 6.9 is acidic and 7.1 to 14.0 is alkaline. … For example, an increase in pH from 7.0 to 8.0 is actually a tenfold increase , so be aware! … soil is to test the pH of your run - off rather than the pH of the water you put in. … mixing adds oxygen to the solution and this will temporarily raise pH levels .

AND BY THE WAY ,WELCOME TO OUR WORLD OF GROWING HERE AT i l g m AND TO OUR AWESOME COMMUNITY.

RO water doesn’t have any solids in it so you can’t get a real ph of it. It’s going to take on the ph of what it’s poured into. So the water took on the soils Ph as it ran through the pot.

Ok I didn’t know that because I really not sure of what I’m doing but I’m trying really hard to learn and reading a lot sometimes it’s a little overwhelming

The only time you’ll need to ph RO water is if you add nutrients to the water. Adding nutrients to the water increases the solids in it and will then hold an actual ph.

Just noticed this what y’all think

Looks like a small nute burn to me. I just had the same thing, doesn’t look too bad at all. Keep an eye on it but don’t stress.

That’s what I thought @anon89489555 they are in happy frog and a week ago I gave them a little recharge that’s it only using RO water. Thanks for the input

Ive used happy frog for last two months and I cannot state enough how damn good this stuff is. People said roughly a month a gallon and I was lucky to get two weeks a gallon the growth was and is so explosive. Flowering Its Ocean Forest or Bluesky organics.

So @anon89489555 you replant in ocean forest? This is my first grow and was going to keep them in the same pot and no reporting am I missing something sorry for my ignorance

No it is a matter of preference. Happy frog us great for seedlings/veg then I get my girls in some big girl soil to finish. Nice flavour etc. Just really good for flowering imho

Ok got it I would like to try auto pots so I can go camping with the better half but I’m here cause of covid. Here is a pic thru the window

Those fabric pots you’re using if there is no air space between it and the ground the roots will settle in and start to tangle perhaps become rootbound because there is no movement for air pruning to take place. I found this out about 18 hours ago when I transplanted. Had em on stands but it was too much light for my girls hence me saying I wish I had of started earlier with LST. They will be back on their stands as soon as the switch flips to 12 and 12. Root balls are like 80 % of the container. Only knock is transplanting is not fun by yourself with fabric pots UNLESS you have one’s with velcro.

Ok @anon89489555 right now they are 3.5 weeks old what if I were the put them on bakers cooling racks would that be enough space about 1/2 to 3/4 inch space?

Anything to allow air to pass under should do it so yes.

Ok cool @anon89489555 I’ll get on it tomorrow thank you very much!!!

Ok @anon89489555 this is what I came up with when I took it out of the drip tray the bottom was cool and wet but I watered yesterday thanks for the info

No problem. This is why we’re all here to learn and grow and learn to grow. Happy to help!
