Peat pots has anyone used them

has anyone tried useing these I was wondering if they brake down ok after planted in the soil

yes they will break down with moisture. The roots will do the rest.

From my experience the amount of moisture needed causes plants to be over watered or plants end up root bound (I am not a fan of those)

I never have problems with them. You just have to water strategically around the OUTSIDE of the peat pot to ensure the pot is wet enough to breakdown, while keeping the young rootsroots inside the peat pot from being drowned.
