Par meters sufficient enough

I know the $500 to $600 apogee meter with the 4 corner readers i guess you call them is cart blanche.
But would not the cheaper quantum par meters like for $150 to $200 or $300 do the trick just fine?
Like the$170 dollar ones when you scroll down on Amazon after typing quantum par meters

PAR will work with calculations.

I use $5 Photone app on my iphone. It gives me PPFD and DLI. Everyone who has tested it says it measures as well as Apogee.

Having a single point dli measurement is pretty much useless. I have seen misused so many times that I have quit correcting people at this point.

I agree. I recommend measurements across the canopy regardless of meter.

Its really good this app this app is PPFD meter it is backed by dr bruce bugbee who is a medical hemp researcher and he makes apogee sensors

Here’s what I use. I typically get a reading on my 4 corners and middle then find the average to get exact or close to exact umols across the canopy
