Outdoor grow needs to be topping?

Question about outdoor plant toppings
I have Pulp Fraction strain and I grow it outdoors
Do you think I should do topping to increase yield or is it not necessary?
My plants are now in their fifth week of growth.

I can’t speak for topping from my experience, but I’ve seen others increase yield by topping, but extends the growth timeframe.

I prefer super topping and low stress training to increase yields, as these methods don’t delay the plant growth as much.

No wrong answer here, only growers preference.

yes
The experience of harvesting outdoors in both ways can help me make the right decision.

Hi I top outdoors to keep them lower usually when they get around 4’ tall but staking and tying works so its your preference.
Over 6’ isnt much good here, Sept windy season breaks them. I top them cuz I think its less work but end up tying down anyway cuz they stretch again, you wont hurt them either way

I top my outdoor plants once above the 5 node and again about 3 nodes above that. They get nice and bushy that way. Even though I top twice…they still get pretty tall. Last year I grew in 45-gallon pots and they were over 13 feet tall. This year I am sticking to small pots…large plants are a pain

I planted them in the garden soil and they are doing well. I hope they will produce a good crop.
Because I want to manage my life with their money, they are important to me.

My idea is to prune some of them and not others. That way I can test both methods in one growing season and be ready for next year.

An outdoor plant needs to be topped higher, say knee high or higher as anything below the topping will not get much sun.

I top mine twice, but here is the con, a plant grown in its natural Christmas tree shape will bend in the wind and a multi topped plant will sometimes break in windy locations.

So topping depends alot on your wind and the amount of sun you get. In full sun a plant can be topped all the way into July.

Topping also makes more bud locations although smaller buds which in high humidity areas is what you want.

Thank you for sharing your useful experience
We have no restrictions on the sun and the place of growth
The Iranian region is also dry and hot
Since the plant that is pruned has good lateral branch growth, I said it might be a good idea to try this outside for more branches, which equals more yield

I use Google Translate
Sorry if I don’t have good phrasing

Man this i wish i knew. I topped my outdoor plants while still in the potters at the 4th or 5th node. Pretty much they were all about 16-18 inches tall after topping. But my garden is in full sun all day

Strongly suggest topping while in veg only to get more than one apical bud. If you get one big bud , you run the risk of higher chance of bud rot or worse (caterpillars). More bud sites give better chance of good harvest even if a few are affected when caught in time. Use a silica supplement to add strength to the side branching stems. I also do supercropping (pinch and twist the stem without breaking it off). It will heal with a knuckle and also cause more bud sites. Happy growing. Looks great so far.
