Outdoor critter protection

Do any of you use protection for your plants, like some sort of mesh tenting, enclosures, etc., to protect your plants from birds, bugs, etc.? If so, please share. Thanks!

I know there are partner plants and other natural procedures the Pro guys on here use
to thwart the pesky bugs that like to mess with cannabis plants. Wait until they chime in.

I use a chicken wire fence and my 14 yo son with his pellet gun for the bunnies and squirrels.

Absolutely. Lost four plants last summer to caterpillars. Get the nets up and start spraying earlier than you think you need to.

Neem oil and spinosaud (sp?) for bugs, 12 gauge for the deer.

I used to put plants out on sunny days when I lived in SoCal and purchased ‘Horticulture Screens’ which are a fine mesh cloth bag that goes over plant. Works very well.

Pre-legalization when I was growing guerilla in the woods I’d use all the classic methods - soap shavings, pissing around the perimeter of the grow site, and when the deer got really hungry I go with a commercial organic spray that’s basically garlic and rotting garbage in a spray. Stinks to high heaven but no animal will go near it. Don’t use during flowering! By the time you’re flowering tho deer aren’t interested in munching buds. They want growing shoots.

It’s just a little bunny!

My Guy was the stand in for “the Bunny” in the movie.

If I could still get my Hands on it I would go straight to concertina wire. That stuff is a lot of fun to put up. love it.

LOL! When I said “critters”, I was referring more to things like birds, bugs, etc. and not something requiring bared and razor wire, haha!

Also, it’s inside of fencing, so I don’t need to be concerned about deer or javelina. Bunnies, maybe, so I could keep off the ground. The Monty Python bunny … well, different story there … shivers
