OUTDOOR BIG EXPERIMENT....Not really just LATE So Yeah I guess it is

Okay here`s the lowdown
I was procrastinating on whether or not I was growing this year.It would be the first time in 7 years I didn’t.Many factors were in play. For one I didn’t want Giant plants Yes I did say that lol Last season I had way too much the plants got really big (at least for me) and it was a lot of work and I dont smoke as much, still haven’t gotten around to making edibles or what have you and the friends I had once given it too are no longer around,So life got in the way and I got way way behind in the season and since I was either going to top (for the first time) to limit the size of the plants OR start later in the season so they dont grow as big.I chose the latter…BUT I didnt mean to wait this long.
SO I’m now going to “try” and see what planting in July will look like?
I’m in a fairly warm dry semi-Mediterranean climate and usually set the plants out by May 1st
It may be a effort in futility but I’m doing it anyway

Peanut Butter Breath
…and a few Autos ( Only because Ive got a boat load of them) Not sure on the strains I will plant.

  • Follow it if you wish
** Please feel free to give me any advice or tips especially If you have experience in LATE late grows Outdoors!
    Thanks Grow Family!!

Pretty cool experiment! I’m always a early planter just the idea I have seeds I’m dieing to plant and spring is on the way! Better selection this year with more Compact Variety but I still have 1 that’s going to the Sun :sun: even after Topping it’s a pineapple Chunk plant and is supposed to be Compact tried a couple of Auto’s for the first time lsd and lemon tree x Zkittles kinda like them kinda don’t! LSD grew about 6 inches and went into flowering pretty good though I’m smoking some now It’s going to be interesting to follow this to see how big them girls can get with a late season grow I’ll be hanging around and good luck mabey I learn a little something

Well I’ll be checkin in on your venture. I did the same this yr so far. To many plants and not smokin as much as I used too. I’ll take a little break this summer and resume in the winter. To many other projects goin on. I
I may just stick with autos for awhile. I don’t need all that much anymore and no one to give it to. But you never know. I enjoy growing more than smoking, it’s addictive.
So it sounds like a outdoor for you, right? I moved indoors mostly. To much rain & humidity outside down here. You spend all that time and up with bud rot. I’m done with that. So if you still have decent weather around your projected harvest time , go for it but I would just do autos otherwise. Your decision though. Well best of luck with your grows. I’ll tag along and check in on your progress. @AL_GREEN Good to see you back again. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: :+1:

I’ve tried to start seeds outside in late June and early July for a friend, and they were eaten by insects, snails or something, I would protect them a bit until they develop a bit of size and are less vulnerable.

Hmm  Im not sure about that But Thank You for your confidence

Wow quote of the last few grows ..Me too! Yes I’m way way addicted to growing,I love it when its good,Hate it when it isn’t  Its akin to a Rose aficionados or Wine (Grape growers) Its about the strains and the process and what you can do with them. Its such a beautiful resilient ,amazing looking plant.

Thanks Yes I’m waiting the usual 2 weeks or so until they mature a bit more

:face_with_peeking_eye: Okay well Thank You..I’m not sure how scientific it will be
but I am past the “Bro Science” stage of growing .
Thank You All So Much…

  • As of this writing The ERSB Chocolate ,Peanut Butter Breath and The Alien Rainbow Headband are under T5`s in solos and have their second leaves emerging .
  • Unfortunately the GMO looks to be a dud I may have added too much Hydrogen Peroxide to the germ water,I noticed when Ive done that in the past the seeds pop out past the “tails” stage I dunno if its a coincidence but Thats what I think? The GMO is a no go for this year .
  • Ive germed and planted directly into their forever 5G fab pots 2 Autos just for fun ;Durban Poison and Mephistos Wedding …We shall see :face_with_monocle:

I dropped some last July and actually had fairly good grow until deep south humidity took over. Had to harvest early once the fall rains began. I think if you can avoid they typical outdoor pitfalls you’ll get a good amount? I was in 10 gals and they ended up about 5’ come November.

Have you tried Budweiser? Back in the 70’s I was the taxi. Homies and a case of Bud every night. Rollin joints, seeds everywhere, beer spilling on the floor. Going to work one morning and I saw a sprouted bean on the rear floor mat with a long tail and a green cotyledon with the helmet off. I just dont think it’s necessary to use anything but water. It’s always worked for me. But whatever y’all think is best, go for it. Just my 2c.
