Organic Liquid Nutes

what are the options for organic liquids nutrients, especially for flower? many of the soils can get through veg so mostly need flower nutes.

started looking at fox farm but it looks like only one of their bases is organic and it’s mostly for veg. Dr Earth confuses me… anyone have a feeding schedule for them? Advanced nutrients makes a line with a clear feeding schedule and I can try that, but they’re also really expensive. others? thoughts?

A well designed tea using worm castings, fruit bat guano and insect bat guano in the right proportions might be what you are after…

I use Earth Juice nutrients. Technically they’re not OMRI rated, but for all intents and purposes they are organic.
I believe @blackthumbbetty uses them too, and @dbrn32 used to.

I really like Earth Juice. Good stuff. Easy to figure out. Lots of support from the company, too.

LOL. you’re uncovering a rabbit hole. there are a million different ways to make them, but basically you’d put a bunch of different ingredients, usually dry (like bat guano, seaweed… whatever) into a mesh bag and drop it into a bucket of water. put some airstones in there and let it bubble or “brew” for 24 hours. usually there will be some sugars in there from molasses. the idea is to make food for the organisms that live in your soil. some of the nutrients in the goodies in the bag will feed your plants but mostly you’re feeding the critters in the soil to keep them healthy so they break down nutes in your soil to feed your plants. can be used in organic and non organic methods, though i don’t understand how this works with salt based nutes since it seems to me the salts would kill off any organisms.

But thanks for the knowledge, seen it referred to elsewhere and didn’t have a clue.

when you’re ready search the threads, there’s also no shortage on youtube. depends on how you feed, they’re probably not really needed but everyone’s always looking for ways to tinker and improve their grows. probably most popular and important for organic growing.

Fun thing with Earth Juice is basically every feeding is a tea. :grinning:

Ya this hobby could turn into a rabit hole real easy. I’ve reached the point of “diminishing returns” in my other hobby. So wtf. I’m just gonna wade in up to my knees. LOL

But what a great rabbit hole, isn’t it?

Sometimes I question myself on that one.

Hahaha so true.
I swear I’m going to buy 1 more clip fan, consider 1more duct fan and 4 more drip trays… But after that nothing!
I just need to grow for 2 years as is and make it pay its self back otherwise I could have just bought smoke at this rate and spent alot less haha

Ha! I’ll never break even. I could never smoke enough to cover what I spend.

Right now I’m building a 9’x11’ self contained grow room, a new plc light, and fighting wpm.

same here but now i’m justifying the metrics by attempting to add up when i’m saving by not spending money on entertainment outside the house. not sure that’s exactly healthy, either.

True that, I’m just trying to grow enough for my wife and myself

I started to pay back a debt to my dad and he’s about 1/2 paid back but he’s fully stocked for next year… I don’t smoke much at all, maybe 20 volcano bowls in a month if I’m swinging for the fences. The wifey can smoke a fair bit though.
So the goal is to pay money into an old cure jar until the new setup is paid back.
Unfortunately she doesn’t like the two cbd strains I grew last crop sooo I’m going to to have to grow some gager stuff next round to get her back on board.

I said that 2 months ago. Yet, somehow as of last night, my Amazon cart is up to 430 bucks. Still cheaper than buying weed! I used to spend 700/mo.
