Right. I don’t know how accurate the photon app should be expected to be in any given situation, but you could expect it to be less active when blending different spectrums that you’re not able to set the calibration point on.
@dbrn32 so what do you think I should measure with one light source on at a time and set the height depending on what that one source reads
If it were me I probably wouldn’t bother measuring at all. Set heights to where you feel canopy has a good balance of complete coverage and reasonable intensity. Then just adjust as you feel it’s needed.
@dbrn32 how many plants would you say a 1200 watt wakyme blurple could veg and flower? I have two of the 1200 watt blurpose and a 250 w HPS. Now I just vegged and flowered two plants off of the 250 wide HPS and got about 3 oz a piece off of it. So now I have a new growth setup and these two new 1200 watt lights and a growbro sent some seeds in the mail yesterday so now I’m trying to see how many plants I can max out with
@dbrn32 yeszir!
Well I’m sure this is not a 1200 watt light with only 120 leds. My guess is it would do a reasonable job at flowering about 4 ft² give or take per fixture. So depending on how you plan to manage your plants as many as you could fit into something the size of 2x4 tent. Most would likely say 2 plants but growers like MattyBear run 8ish plants in 2x4 tent.
@dbrn32 well my room is about five and a half by five and a half. I have the 2 1200s and the 250 HPS in a line next to each other. So with those three lights together how many plants would you say for veg and flower
It really has everything to do with the size and shape of your plants. You have three lights that are good for about 2’x2’ space each. You could have 1 plant vegged a long time and trained to take up all 3 lights or a bunch of little plants under each light. This is more about how you plan to utilize the space than anything. You to think more along the lines of a light being ideal for a specific area and not on a per plant basis. Then determine how best to utilize the area.
