One of my buds snapped. Please help

I was installed my new 6" fan/filter and the fan dropped and snapped an offshoot branch in half. The outer skin is still intact but the inside just has no structure left at the 90…should i cut it off or try to save it?

Had no idea just how much bigger a 6 inch fan and filter would be from the 4 inch…not onlt that but on the lowest setting its trying to suck my tent tbrough the exhaust haha

Ok thanks.

If it was anothercweek along i might just sample it, but when i was checking trichomes today everything is still pretty much clear

I’d just leave it. She will straighten herself. There’s no actual break. That’s a supercrop. Congrats on your first one.

You could splint it. Or take advantage. Mine was on purpose.

I have done a supercrop before a couple weeks ago but this felt more extreme haha…and i was freaking out bc its in week 6. But seeing you say that makes me feel better about the situation. Thanks man.

I’ve had ones scare me. So I didn’t clip it. Was running into the light again two days later. They’ll surprise you.

Ha thats kind of what happened at start of week 4 they were running out of room so someone on here walked me thru supercropping the main stem on each, but they just straightened themselves back out, and i couldnt tie them down bc they were pushing the net cups through the lid so i just said screw it and upgraded the tent :joy::joy:

Normally I leave clamps on them longer. That one just didn’t need.

Oh thats smart…what do you use for the clamps?

They’re called low stress training clips. 50 million different kinds out there. Kind of based on user preference. People 3d print them too.

Is what I use. But out of stock on full size.

Another good idea. Ill have to find a 3d model to print out. This will help a ton on my next grow. Appreciate it.

@Lacewing knows about this type of issue.

Se people would put a bit of honey on it and bring the two peices together and tape them up and support that one branch some how

Unfortunately i couldnt do that because the branch snapped a half inch under a bud, so i just got some string and suspended it up. Seems to be doing alright at the moment

I had an accidental super-crop on a branch when installing my scrog screen during the first week after the flip. She’s now the tallest, thickest budding branch in the tent!
I just kinda straightened it and propped it up as best I could.
You should be fine in a day or two.

I use teflon tape to repair broken branches. I also use it when I super crop.

As accidents go that’s a pretty happy one

Haha love it

Cut it off. Put it in a brown paper sack for a week and then smoke it! :+1:t2::v::sunglasses:
