Evening everyone, I had a question and I know it’s subjective but I am curious to see if there is a general consensus. So let’s say you could get 1 pack of seeds ( one photo and one auto) from any current breeder as of this second currently. The whole purpose of this grow is to grow the most amazing looking, most sugary , colorful beautiful plant the world has ever seen.
Which breeder would you go with? Photo and Auto
I am just curious because I see a lot of hype over a few particular “brands” or breeders but I’m newer so I’m not sure. I am wanting to do a grow solely just for this reason because why not, I am doing a bunch of different things and wanting to try the “creme de la creme” of genetics so to speak.
Mephistos is generally recieved as the best but hardest to get, ilgm( zkittles) is the safest fastest easiest in America you can get, as far as european goes barneys( pineapple express or purple punch) and dutch passion(skywalker haze) are my personal 2 favorites with fast buds(Mexican airline) being a close 3rd and finally 4th is pyramid seeds( nefertiti) with their unique breeds
Thank you and Mephisto is one I had in mind I was curious if came up. I saw they have drops every week and you have to be quick to get ( I love that competition lol). The others mentioned were also others I have seen talked about alot so thank you, I’m just curious what people think or have heard etc
I am running two Barneys strains at the moment-Tangerine dream and Pineapple Chunk. My Pineapple is giving the debutante delight and making a play for favorite. Nice fall colors, some girth to the colas…oh my.
So, Barneys gets my vote.
Second place/Honorable mention- DJ Shorts Cocoa Kush. Visual aesthetics and choco-berry taste and smell.
Low yield but so worth it.
I’ve only used ILGM, so far. Been satisfied with everything. The part that was unsatisfactory they made right. Recently picked up some seeds from Mantis. They’re down around Tucson. The strain is an African land race Sativa (Ayawascu) & Purple Haze cross. I plan to put some into the next grow. Will see if the results match the hype. I hope so as I will make lots of clones.

Tbh you don’t really have to be quick unless it’s like a super popular strain that I’ll reveal… strawberry nuggets, but they usually last the entire Monday. I’ve purchased seeds from them twice and Mephisto is dope! They give you a lot of freebies, I got 5, spent around 100 bucks. Could probably buy the freebies themselves with 100. It’s also always a new strain they are working on, so be prepared to be testing strains no one else really has.
I love my ILGM Blue Dream Auto. I start every morning with a hit from my one-hitter. It was my first grow in 32yrs and it was perfect. My other favorite is Bruce Banner Fast Version from Homegrown Cannabis Co. ILGM has Banner fem and auto, and HGCC has BD in fem and auto, so check out both. They both are reputable companies.

Ended up getting some Mephisto autoflowers from the drop today. I saw a picture of the grape crinkle the other day and it dropped today and I had to have it. The fans on the Mephisto reddit are like die hard sports fans when it comes to Mephisto strains. We shall see how they stack up, I don’t think it could be all that like the people on Reddit make it sound but we shall see
Oof got a grape variety good choice , grape strains are the most euphoric imo and looks like mephistos changed how they do things since i last tried to get some a year ago , they used to do one big drop then be gone for months
