Old school 1st Auto Grow

@Capt.Cola I picked up a zip of Gelato yesterday, love this strain! Too much can have me doing the curly shuffle, I like micro ripping all day on the weekends :sunglasses:

Gelato is my favorite strain so far.
Of course the list of strains I’ve tried is not extremely long.

Is there a possible way to put together a forced air system using metal piping? I’m talking about a closed circulation.
Air is cooled in the electric cooler, pushed out through a series of metal piping and back into the cooler. If the air flow is set right it could maintain enough cold.
Another option I thought about would be to use a radiator and water reservoir. Keep a 55gal reservoir in the coolest place available and pipe it through a radiator system inside the room.
Only drawback with that idea is condensation on the baffles. A drip tray would be needed. It would make a Mc Gyver dehumidifier as well.
Just brainstorming.

Thanks Ghobbs
I’ve gotten by on next to nothing most of my life. You get good at using what’s around you.

Looking forward to trying the gelato. Still have it drying at the moment but it’s almost there. Two weeks goes by fast! Are you planning to use the garage for anything else or just a grow room? That might influence what you do for heating, cooling etc. I’m going to try and regulate the room temp according to my tent temps. Try is the key word!

Take that a step farther Ghobbs. Insulate the reservoir top, sides and bottom. Just a little ice a few times a day and your really cooling it in there.

Thanks Axemanjake, I’ve been following your current grow and saw you just did some monster cropping. Advice needed… scrog net or no net and super crop the autos’s

Like wise brother Billy, make do with whatcha got. I thought about the ice in the reservoir but I’m working during the day.

@Capt.Cola the garage will be my man cave so a full blown interior finish with a window unit. I bought a portable 5000 btu on wheels for the sunroof but looks like it’s going in the garage for a while…well until the wifey gets pissy with me :love_you_gesture:

If you do set that up, hook a guy up with some pictures of it. And, of course, how well it works.

That’s going to be sweet bro :sunglasses:. It’s a lot different having a whole room instead of a 4x4 tent. Finding the extra space nice and plenty of things to fill it haha

What’s the nutes you’ll be supplementing with cause if its dry ammendments I recommend giving it to them at week 5 with flower nutes(if you have any pistil clustering) because it takes 2 weeks to break down and then at week 7 another dose and that should get you through most if not all the way(maybe even another one if they aren’t even pistil browning by week 10)

@GreenSnek eight on bro, appreciate it. I use the FF trio and was going to start off very light with a top feeding and then maybe mix them in my reservoir if they respond well. Thanks again GreenSnek :kissing_heart:

Auto correct again… meant to be right on.

Haha I hear ya! I’m in the same boat at the moment. Would like a few things for the new room and over time I will get them. First and probably the most expensive for me is another light for my 4x4. A 320 or even a 600 might be my next purchase.

3 days difference and showing some good growth. The sickly one looks really good this morning. Have them both a dose of silica.
