Olaf's Grow-Off, Indoor, Outdoor, Breeding?

You are off the hook on this one @Olaf.ILGM . the Burmese seeds came from a different seed bank. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

The only issue I have ever had with ILGM seeds were the White Truffle for the community grow (free seeds) that turned out to be autos. You generously replaced them with my choice of seeds plus you added another really nice bonus pack that I had my eye on. Thank you so much for that. :vulcan_salute: :man_mage:

Here is the BlackBerry Moonrocks x Phylos SweetTartz haul. One 8 ft plant will make thousands . Current cross is White Truffle x White Runtz, they are heavy with seed. I have enough of the Blackberry Tartz and Blackberry Truffle plus the Snowblind cross for several grow offs. Be happy to send you a couple hundred of any or all you want to try . All are fems too, so everyone will have plenty of girls to pheno hunt if they want. And nobody has grown out the BBTsrtz or the Snowblind either one. That would put everyone in a level playing field.

My previous grow was my first experience with seeds and it was just a couple of colas that I pollinated. What is the best way to clean mass seeds? I just broke up the buds manually for the small number of seeds.

Unfortunately I broke every one of those up by hand and used air to separate them. I’m pretty sure @Low built a seed separator at one time, there are plans for them on YouTube that use a vacuum to remove the shake and seeds are heavy enough to stay in bottom of collector. If I do much more breeding, I’ll hit him up for plans and build one. It’s one of those things you won’t use often, but when you need, you need it!

I ask about seed separation because back in the 70’s when most of our weed was heavily seeded, we separated the seeds to make the weed smokable. We were not concerned with preserving or protecting the seeds from damage.

We broke it up without a care for the seeds then used a driver’s license or credit card on an incline.

Old MacDonald trays worked awesome, every buddies car had one under the seat, because car where big enough back then, may have had a couple under the bed and couch. :+1:

Grow doc say we have to convince you my man..?
The strain doc created looks very good..
Like 3/4 indica 1/4 sativa..
Should be a great strain to grow.
Couldn’t do the current grow. Wanted to..
Just to hot where I am..
I plan on dropping seeds end of September..
So by the time it would take to get this done.
It would be perfect timing

I would definitely be in for this..

Who would be interested in this grow off???

Let @Olaf.ILGM know!!!

Happy growing everyone..

This is the way (to go about this). Let’s see if we can generate some interest!

And other than that I’d be happy to let Doc share his seeds with anyone - but it’d be cool if we can co-ordinate it into a community event.

That’s what I’m talking about..
I’d be in for sure..

Happy growing..

I am not entirely cued in to the history behind that. So I can’t really speak too much on that and it gets touchy here, of course.

But he was working directly with a competitive business and mentioning this, and that is against the forum guidelines. Free sharing is cool in my book. Though, I can’t say I’ve actually okay’ed this with the powers that be - and obviously, I would prefer for the main focus with community events to be ILGM products.

But sharing is fine, and I think its good for the health of the community if member breeding projects are promoted and nurtured, as this is just a valid facet of Cannabis cultivation.

Also, if we can develop something as a community that could be awesome to sell as an exclusive or give away as freebies in the store - obviously the breeder/member would get the ownership and this would have to be financially incentivized. This could be something cool down the line - though, this is just a cool idea/bit of a pipe-dream for now and not necessarily the intention behind allowing forum Frankenstein grow-offs.

I just thought it would be a cool thing to do, at no cost to anyone. I don’t wish to enter, I was just volunteering to supply the new cross as no one has grown them out yet, so nobody has any advantage. I don’t sell any seeds , only donate to friends. But this would give everyone an opportunity to grow them and it would provide me with info on what needs to be done or what is good about them. I’m not looking for anything more than feedback on my ventures.
