Off To Colorado

Good morning grow friends. Im off to spend a few days in the wilderness of Colorado. This survival camp i have attended 2 classes at, has some of the best instructors in the country. And the site is absolutely amazing. Last time it was covered in snow, im excited for warmer temps this time.

Fixing to fly out this morning. Ill be sure to take lots of pictures, and sample some of the local greenery :skunk::laughing:

Probably the best way is south on I 25 to CO 24 in Colorado Springs. Pretty drive, don’t hit an elk lol.

Wow! I worked a job in Cripple Creek in 1981 when I first started as an electrician. I worked on a gold recovery plant construction project.

As usually no service at camp. But i did take lots of pictures. It was so nice this trip, not nearly as cold for sure. This was the first night at sunset while i cooked my soup over the fire. Truly a great discount type trip.

This course while challenging was very fun. For a brief moment i thought i had found some poyote buttons. But i dont think so.

Yeah the first night was something else. It was mostly cloudy the rest of the time. It never rained on us bad. But last night before our night nav teaching, it was lightning in the distance. We all packed up and car camped even though it never really rained on us other then a sprinkle. The night plot finding was fun.

:joy::rofl: yeah there was no being tied up, orbear spray in this course. Still not easy i think we probably hiked close to 8 miles around those hills. I can look at a map with way more knowledge now. But instructors were ex army rangers.

Once they had us plotting the correct cords, they paired me and another guy to go find the marks they had giving us. Not super easy to find, but well marked. I think the course was run very efficiently.

Classic stoner food in my backpack for on the trail breaks, and some nice chilli for dinner. Made a canteen full of coffee. Drank about half of it, then used the rest to snuggle with so i stayed pretty warm on night 2.

There is alot of mining around cripple creek. The place i was at has old mone shafts and some equipment sitting around still. They warned up to be super careful of any of the shafts, and not to get to close to them.
