Odor control rookie need help

Hi any suggestions for odor control I have a carbon filter with my inline fan in my grow tent and it’s not vented outside yet the air is just recirculating in the room. Obviously there will be odor until I get it vented is there anything I could use to help combat it some?

I have a carbon filter inside of the tent and a Winnix 5500 in the lung room to try help with spores and odor. If the tent is closed a carbon filter should be good as long as the exhaust isn’t too fast. I’m not sure how to tell the proper exhaust I just look for tent to have a slight vacuum pull.

Aside from the filters, there are also tubs of odour-control/ neutraliser called Ona Gell.
To consider for next time is also to maybe choose a low-smell strain. We did The Cheese once and it made our eyes burn :grin::joy::joy: I also put a picture with the link because I am in the UK, if you are in another country it’ll ask you to switch to the UK to open it

That is a good question, i can smell it when i walk in the door but i like it and generally don’t have company over that wouldnt like the smell as well, however my wife has rejoined a mormon church due to cancer and although nice friendly people like to stop by and check on her, odor may become an issue, i took carbon filter off inline fan to see if it helps with better airflow, temp and humidity struggles. I could still smell it with carbon filter anyway. We agreed that she goes to the bishops house and blamed it all on the overwhelming amount of dog hair that sticks to everything. Problem solved for now, but could become bigger, ill follow this thread and watch for ideas.

Thanks for the question @panco, looking forward to reading replys.

Carbon filters work amazingly well but are almost useless when wet. If you have high humidity, the carbon will become saturated and no longer capable of “scrubbing” the air. Solve the humidity issue and you should be able to re-incorporate the filter for some good nugg cover.
Regarding air flow, you’ve reached negative pressure in the tent when the sides pull in slightly. This should contain all odor to the tent and pull everything through the filter.
Venting outside of your lung room is highly recommended for many reasons; humidity, temp, and odor control being the big ones.
Be careful with anything scented in your grow space. You don’t want urinal cake flavor weed  :hugs:
Imo desiccant beads work well. They are orderless, reusable, and cost effective.

If the carbon filter isn’t enough for odor control place an open can of fresh unused ground coffee near by that will be the only thing anyone smells

Really? It works? Where do you put the coffee?

Just put it somewhere near by
