Observing trichromes, sugar leaves or buds?

I have 4 autos growing now. One of which is Fastbuds Wedding Cheesecake. The breeder says 63 days, seed to harvest. Probably a bit ambitious IMO

Anyway, I’m at day 75 and I’m examining trichomes closely for milky and amber.
So far my observations are as follows. Some amber on sugar leaves, very little if any on buds.
I’ve attached two photos, the one with ambers is a sugar leaf, the other is a bud

So my question, what’s the tipping point, amber on leaves or buds?

Buds. Trichomes on sugar leaves will mature earlier than those on flower.

I use the buds exclusively for ripeness.
I check them high middle and low and on various colas around the plant. Usually pick out half a dozen spots and keep checking them.
It’s hard for me to tell with that small of a sampling but just keep checking daily and when you see the colors you want get er done.
