@Twin, Sometimes the simple things can be tricky. I also use a moisture meter to judge the days between waterings. I only water when the bottom 1/3 of the container shows halfway between wet and dry by the meter.
The plants in the pictures are presently going 4 days between feeding / waterings. I start by slowly pouring 1/3 gallon of straight RO water first, and then wait about 1/2 hour. Next I slowly pour 1 gallon of the Mills nutrients per plant. This gives me some run off, and helps avoid dry spots in the soil. Whatever your feeding or watering method is, this pre moisturizing of your soil well help.
Checking the ph of your run off can be tricky also. If you check it as soon as it runs out you will probably get the same ph reading as what you just put in.
This method will get a better result. Use RO or distilled water as described above until you just start to get a run off and stop adding water. Let this set for about a hour, and then add more water until you start getting run off. Check the ph of what first comes out this run off.
I usually don’t have soil ph issues. Since I always set the nutrients mixtures at 6.5ph, but the top scratched stuff can change the ph thought.
I was using organics also, but I think those nutrients were getting outdated.
I am really loving how easy the Mills is with soil. Just mix the 4 ingredients into a gallon of RO, and add 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda for a perfect 6.5ph. No top scratching, little or no salt build up, and it is clear enough to use the super reliable ph reagent drip test.
What do these numbers mean? I know my pH is too acidic, and I think my other numbers are telling me I am overfeeding. I’m very close to harvest. Probably within a few weeks. Is it too late to fix my problems? These numbers are for Three different plants. I’m pretty sure I am suffering from lock out. I have been feeding cal- mag with water pH of around 6.5. I also have been using flower fuel and tomato tone.
