Nutrient burn, light burn, or pest?

Hey everyone,

So the only 3 things I could think of are nutrient burn(most likely), being too close to the light(I doubt) or pests(possible).

So I used FFJ at a way too high potency about a week or so ago and I cleaned it off but unfortunately not immediately. I’m assuming that’s what it’s from but I’m not sure.

I did also find an invader in my top branch of another plant hanging from its web. I ended his reign of terror real quick and sprayed my plants down with bug prevention foliar. I also checked for mites or anything and I haven’t seen any kind of bugs at all, thankfully.

There also could be the possibility of being too close to the light but I doubt it since it isn’t growing taller but longer right now. And it’s 18" away from canopy.

Just want to make sure
these girls live their best life is all.

Thanks everyone for your time and opinions/advice. Always appreciated.

I am seeing little white specks on the close up leaf. Is it just little dust spots? :v::blush:

See I was pretty sure that’s nutrients burn from the FFJ but now I’m unsure. But it could be dust spots. I haven’t ever seen anything moving whenever I go to take a picture so that’s a good thing right?

Yes that is a very good thing that nothing is moving. is that one little hole in the leaf the only issue? If it is I wouldn’t worry to much. :v: :slightly_smiling_face:

That is the only issue but not the only hole. There is usually one hole on a good sized leaf on a couple plants with some having tiny smaller holes around it. My theory is nutrients burn from FFJ being too strong and burning holes while the leafs were smaller and having them grow only increased the size of the hole. But I’m not expert. Just a hunch.

Well, there is this one two of my plants. But I’m assuming the same thing due to it appearing around the same time

Different plant though.

I’m no expert by any means but excess nuetrient burn or excess nuetrients is usually on the tips of the leaves. Your plant isn['t showing any of that. I will tag someone and see what they think. @MeEasy @Dennis62 @DEEPDIVERDAVE What do you all think? :v: :slightly_smiling_face:

So I’m 99.9% positive this should be nutrients burn. But I’m still unsure about the holes.

Nutient burn doesn’t show up that way like @Flitme said… it shows up on the very tips like this:

I just read your post on FPP… it’s the cause of the ‘burned spots’… that is from spraying without a wetting agent and leaving on when lights are on. that is different than systemic nutrient burn.

The holes can just be physical damage from you moving the leaf around or tucking leaves.

Another tip… you’ve created a LOT of topics (22 in 20 days). So that we can effectively follow along with what else has been going on, please create one journal of your grow and just ask questions there. I had to go through and read all of your 20 topics to get an understanding of what you’ve been doing. You can tag anyone who you want. We just all need to know what has been going on in the past to help you with current events.

Looking forward to watching!

Definitely will try to make a journal.

With everything going on in life Im really only having time to get on here to ask for help. With trying to get the house remodeled, get ready for my first kid, growing, helping the spouse, work, and the smaller things on top of that I have had to skip days to sleep sometimes just to make sure I have time to clean and whatnot.
I’ll try to post less from now on and Google answers if I can’t start a journal.

I am sorry about posting so much lately. It’s been on my mind but since it’s my first grow I didn’t want to risk anything. I’ve actually put off asking about this for about a week tbh.

Thank you for letting me know that nutrient burn doesn’t show up like that! I really appreciate it.

But incases that the tips do yellow like that what would be that issue? Too close to light?

Hey guys well I am not a expert on leaf issues, but I have leafs that discolor on tips and edges, it doesn’t look like anything to worry about. Leafs do that, I’d keep an eye on it, but not light too close. @TrichromeTay should be okay :+1: thanks for the tag @Flitme sorry I can’t help much my friend

Oh no! I didn’t mean anything by that! Please POST AWAY!!! It just helps to keep it all in one journal… not just for us, but for you as well!!! I believe you can tag an admin to combine all your posts into one! That would be perfect so we can all follow along in sequence and you won’t get duplicate or conflicting answers (well, ok, you will always get conflicting answers LOL… we are ALL still learning… always!)

Best advice is to stay calm and don’t worry too much about the plants. Seriously. Just keep an eye on new growth, forget old damage, it will never correct itself but be conscientious about what might have caused it… I think the foliar with the FPJ was probably the culprit.

You already have… this one! Just keep adding to this. You have a good list of very knowledgeable peeps you can tag.

Thanks for the tag @Flitme … like always I’m late to the show and everyone else seems to have this fire put out. Maybe next time Volcano-Vaporizer-Smiley

No you’re good. I’m sorry if i made it seem like I thought you meant it like that. I just felt bad that I was flooding the forum with different things I was uneducated about. So I think I let my own feelings about it overtake how it should have been perceived. Plus with the exhaustion of everyday life on top of that it makes my brain mush. Lol.

If I could tag an admin to combine it that would save me so much work than having to think back on everything I’ve done and when.

I have memory issues due to an accident when I was younger, plus i do too many fat dabs to remember all those details :joy::joy::joy:

I completely agree though. Can’t fix anything that’s already broke but I can learn how to not do it again. Which is why I’m here. If G.I. Joe taught me anything it was that knowing is half the battle.

Thank you for everything by the way.

Not just for your input on what you think caused it but also to help me take the first step and point me in the right direction on HOW to make a journal.

I still appreciate you showing up to the party even if it’s fizzled out.

LOL… Join the club, my friend… join the club

This is the best place on earth to get amazing support and advice! The only stupid question is the one not asked

I’ll tag @dbrn32 and maybe he can combine your topics into one sequential journal and move it to the proper category

He will be a certified genius if he can take all of those books(threads) and create an Odyssey out of it. Lol

Thank you so much for real. I’m so thankful for everyone who ever has posted to my threads. If it isn’t someone teaching me something it’s someone confirming that what I’m being taught is correct. And if not that someone is pointing me in the right direction or tagging someone who can help.

It really means a lot. Truly. I’m always in pain due to a really bad accident when i was 12. And I’m bi-polar so my heads always a mess. Cannabis is the only thing that has ever helped besides opioids and I don’t want to take them. I’ve lost a handful of people over the years due to them. And I have bi-polar medication but it isn’t a cure all. So it’s literally growing medicine in my eyes. Every detail matters to me. It may increase my yield, or potency to where I can have more or not need to smoke as much if it’s more potent.

Sorry for getting all in my feels. I’ve just always been so passionate about cannabis since I’ve started smoking and felt no pain for the first time in a year. It’s just not a hobby or a way for me to smoke for cheap to me so when I get so much support it just means a lot.

Thanks again to everyone.
