Nutes? What Would You Recomend?

What types of nutes y’all use? I was thinking about going for biobizz but i cannot seem to get a hold of them to get their product.

Interesting question. I think theres several things to take into consideration the first being preferences and growing medium. How much maintenance are you looking to do, how much do you wanna spend etc. Are you using soil coco or dwc? If you’re a beginner I would reccomend something like GH 3 part series so you can begin learning the basics of what your plants need and when. Plus it’s cheaper if you’re using coco cuz watering to run off will burn you through some nutes depending on grow space etc. That’s my two cents and I’m no pro. But when I run coco I use that otherwise I’m using supersoil. I’d look into Nectar of the Gods too but again, not cheap and I think that would be a focus for someone not just starting. Good luck. Theres literally a million choices.

Hey,

If your running a basic dwc, I would run advanced nutrients 3 part that way you don’t have to deal with the pH, and it cost about the same as GH 3 part, UNLESS, sometimes you can get a deal where GH will throw in a bottle of rapid start with that order then I would run the GH, but I’m a fan of mix matching and trying different things., Experiment look at different lines and see which 1 fits your grow style

All nutrient s basically do the same thing

I am willing to do as much maintenance as needed same with time other then me being at work. I am using coco and I am going to look into GH 3 part series as @Ryansway also recommended. I will then experiment from there ty!

Hey,

Yeah you can’t go wrong with GH 3 part and I would suggest shopping around, alot of companies with throw in a small bottle of rapid start which won’t do nothing but help, good luck bud and let us know how it goes.

A lot of growers do just fine with the 3 Base nutes. Look for a ‘Drain to Waste’ schedule or coco. Keep your TDS moderate. If you hit the numbers they call out you will probably burn your plants.

What do you mean if i hit the numbers they call out they will burn? Also I am going to be using coco and perlite with fabric bags for pots this grow.

Yes I saw: look at it this way. The manufacturer is in the business of selling product. He’s not really interested in being frugal with the schedule. The fact is the TDS callouts for most nutes is WAY high and will burn plants. Keep the TDS moderate like 700 ppm in veg and 850 ppm or so in flower while using the ratio of nutrients to maintain correct mix. So for example my schedule calls out:

7.5 ml Micro
15 ml Bloom
This is per gallon

I change the scale by using multiples of 2.5 ml/gallon so first number is a ‘3’. Second number is a ‘6’. I then use whatever tool I have that will provide me with that ratio and I add to my R/O water. In my case I just simply use that as my new amount: 3 ml. I then use 6 ml for the bloom. Then I measure the TDS and if it comes in under my highest TDS for my plant I PH and water. If it’s too strong; add water to dilute to your target TDS.

It is MUCH easier to add nutes than it is to subtract them. If you have a hungry plant it will tell you and you can adjust.

I’ve experienced the same with Fox Farm nutes. If I go much above my target PPM numbers I will, and have, burned my plants. My target PPMs are about half of what Fox Farm calls out in their schedule. I have a hard time managing salt build up as it is. I can’t imagine trying to manage pH and the burn my plants would endure if I was following the FF recommended doses.

Managing to target PPMs is the way to go.

@Myfriendis410 With GH have you ever herd of COCTek? If so have you ever used it or do you have any info on this nute?

I have no idea. Never heard of it, sorry.

Cocotek I meant but Thank you!

If you in coco why not run the Jack’s 3 part system? It’s the same ratios every single feed from seed to harvest. I always use the same formula the entire grow and I’ve never had a plant give me an issue since switching to it. It’s also the cheapest nutrient line on the market.
