DWC and what nutes should i use

So im planning a DWC grow and wanted a good census on what nutes i should go with. I have done one with AN’s 3 part ph perfect line. It did good once i learned about how the product really works. But was thinking of going a different direction, and wanted a few other ideas.
Indoor, tent 3x3x7, Fecida 2000w (260 true watts) led lighting also have the 1000 (130) or even the 600 watt (~100 watts) if the 2000 is to much. 8 gallon tank (5 gallons of water). 8.5 watt airpump. Small water pump for drainage and to feed while its roots form.
I plan on a grand daddy purple af. This will be my second go at DWC,. First one was good, hoping second one will ge great. First one i did was in a 5 gallon bucket :bucket:, with the largest net pot for the buck, which only let me use about 2 gallons and i had to tend to it all the time. So i am going a little bigger water reservoir this time.
Ok im ranting now. Share with me what nutes you think i should try. Pics are great!

Are these the actual buckets or the rez? If it’s a rez then you are running RDWC which is a much better system.

I use 3" net pots and usually yield in the 3/4 pound dried range. You don’t need a big net pot.

As you’ve seen; capacity of the buckets is low and in flower you will be adding daily or twice daily to keep levels correct.

I am a fan of Jack’s. Their 3-2-1 program does well, it’s economical and it’s hard to burn plants. I do add silica as it’s a necessary micronutrient needed to build trichomes as well as strengthen the plant.

You might look at replacing buckets with 19 gallon yellow topped totes. Easy to cut a hole and with a net pot you are running around 14 gallons. Lots of room for the roots too.

You are going to want around 250 watts (actual, not “equivalent to”) per plant to properly flower out. Insufficient light will produce large node spacing (leggy) and loose flower. AF’s are notorious for producing loose flower anyway.

You always want to size your light to your growspace. You could need anywhere from 150 to 600 watt per plant. My last plant needed 600watt. 35 to 40 watt per sq foot is sufficient.

I am moving to a 3" net. My first was with only 2 gallons of water in a 5 gallon bucket. Was going to see if 5 gallons (8 gallon container) of water would be better. You say go bigger 14 gallons of water (19 gallon)? So 5 gallons water (8 gallon container) still to small?

I like using 4 of the 18 gal black buckets with 25 gal of water, and 3 or 4 inch net baskets. I perfer general hydroponics 3 part line with koolbloom for fertilizer.

I recently switched to jacks 321 recipe. Low cost, easy mix and its powder so easy to store. 3 product recipe, so not a never ending line. Only thing I do is ph the start and go…

Didn’t even change the water on my last grow and things are still humming.
