Fellow growmies, does this look like nute burn or a need for water? I’m planning to water tomorrow along with my second dose of Jack’s 3-2-1.
Thanks!

Your plant looks healthy to me. If it were mine, I would keep doing what got me to this point.
@merlin44 Thank you, my friend. The dry tips on the two leaves had me worried.
I seldom pay any attention to older leaves. I focus my attention on new growth and the main foliage. Those lower leaves normally age out and fall off which is what you are seeing.
It’s probably too early to feed. What soil are you using?
@MidwestGuy Thank you for weighing in, my friend. I’m using an organic soil I bought from a local garden shop. I transplanted my ladies and gave them a half dose of Jack’s 3-2-1 along with epsom and silica on July 25.
@merlin44 Thank you for pointing that out.
If using synthetic nutes you should be measuring runoff PPM to calibrate when to feed. Don’t feed until runoff PPM is less than 1,000.
Your plant is a bit overfed.
What kind of organic soil? The soil chosen can make a big difference. I’m concerned because garden shops don’t usually carry soils that are properly buffered for cannabis and some soils are flat-out terrible for cannabis.
@MidwestGuy Oh boy, now I’m nervous. This is what I used.
It should be okay but you may have trouble managing pH as the soil is not buffered.
Avoid soils that say “feed for x weeks” or “moisture retention.”
Good soils include a Fox Farm soil, Black Magic, Coast of Maine, or Roots Organics.
@MidwestGuy Much appreciated!
Should I just water them this week? If so, should I add anything other than to adjust the pH?
pH adjust feedings to 6.5. Don’t worry about pH beyond that until you begin feeding the plant with fertilizers. After you begin feeding the plant you should begin monitoring runoff pH. It will decline over time and must be managed.
Cannabis needs wet/dry cycles for good health. Water and then let the soil dry out before watering again. Cannabis roots need oxygen, and they can’t extract oxygen from soil that is constantly wet, hence the wet/dry cycles.
@MidwestGuy Many thanks for your guidance and advice!
