Nurse n plants back to health?

I got some clones given to me and I just used a mix of old soils fed chemical nutrients thinking it would be fine. They didn’t look good. I grow organic now and thought I just needed to up pot them into new soil. I did this twice. Still looked bad. Yellowing, burned tips, spotting. They kept growing bigger n bigger but never got healthy. I figured I could get some new growth healthy n just take a cut n start over but I can’t seem to get there. I tried flushing with water bc the PPM/EC was too high. I got that down to normal range and now they more yellow. Sorry for the long winded question but what can you do to nurse a messed up plant back to health? Any suggestions? I have no issues growing organically from the get go n I’ll never use unknown soil again.

Maybe try re-potting into your soil of choice. Might be your only option. Best of luck to ya.

When I said I up potted them, that was re potting to a bigger pot each time

I agree with @Highwayman420 may need to completely exchange out to a cannabis friendly soil. Best of luck! :v:

Lets see a pic of the plant. Might be able to flush her out and recharge…

I was t sure I was able to do that. I was thinking of trying that but I thought it might kill them. CAN you shake all the existing soil off the roots and just put it in new soil? My understanding was it would die from the shock? If that’s the solution though, I can easily do that and would have done that from the start if it’s possible. So IS it possible?

Let’s see what @ChittyChittyBangin has to suggest before i say it is. He is my go to grower when i have any questions about anything.

Are you getting any new growth at all? Remember with organics it can take up to 2 weeks for any sign of recovery.

Been getting new growth forever. Like I said it’s not healthy. I’m growing the biggest yellow plants ever

My best guess it a ph issue and the plant not able to uptake nutrients. Do you have a TDS and ph meter?

You are correct. Nutrient lock out and burn. The first TDS test I did was 2800ppm or almost 6 EC hence all the flushes i mentioned above. I thought if I kept flushing until it got into normal range, that would help but they just got more yellow. I didn’t test too low for nutes , it was around 800ppm or 1.4 EC but I’m assuming out of balance of the nutes left in it. I’ve been trying this whole time just to get healthy new growth so I could take a clone n start over. Once I get a good cutting I’m golden. I don’t deal with synthetics for this reason. Organics are easy, it’s my fault for just using a mix of old stuff laying around. They were like 6 inch when I got them n now over 2 feet unhealthy. I just want a solution to heal them for a cut to start over. SO is previous question possible or do I have to go through all the BS of measuring ph, pmm and feeding synthetic nutes again?

Whats keeping you from going back organic? How lomg has it been now since you did thay flush. Since you are using sy thetic nutes, i would flush down to 400ppm. Then immediately feed 800ppm at 6.5 ph im sure you know but test ph after adding nutes and adjust…

Wait, i just read youre using a miracle grow type soil with time released nutes is that correct?

I never said I was using Miracle Grow soil or miracle grow fertilizer either.
What keeping me from going back organic? Idk bad soil, sick plant, can’t get a cutting ect… really don’t know why youd ask that after everything I’ve posted. If you think the solution is just to add back what I flushed out, I’ll give it a try. I’ve tried everything else. It’s been months now so probably won’t get any worse. Hard lesson learned here. I won’t forget. That’s for sure.

What i read was old soil fed chemical nutrients. All i was doing was trying to get a better understanding of the past. No reason come at me dude. All im trying to do is help you. I was tagged in this thread. And i said Miracle Grow Type Soil.

My bad if I came off at you. I didn’t mean too. I appreciate your effort n apologize regardless.

I do soil changes, often, after things look ugly.
Outdoor clone, rescued, required new soil for roots.

I am DDD, the destroyer. “Only the strong survive”
It will take a month or 6 weeks to get past the shock she might be suffering.

I am trying to gift some grow in the 982xx area.

Ya but how do you get rid of all the bad soil when it’s all in the roots in a big pot?

Not sure if you are past this yet but thought I would chime in. I transplant and my girls live in 4 homes from germ to harvest. If this was me, I would flush them with 2-3x the amount of water you usually use. Just water. after several days of letting her dry out, I would repot them using a canna friendly soil, water her in with 1/2 strength feeding and wait for the rebound and healthy growth.
Here are my 4 pots

I have never experienced transplant shock yet.
