If you are worried about bad soil sticking to the roots when you plant into new soil, I could see the concern…even if the ppm are low, and you just want to make sure, maybe this: I have had to transplant tomato plants after they have been flooded under my rain gutters because the soil was too eroded, leaving behind mostly rocks and clay… so i put everything into pots on the brick patio. The way I did it was to flood the area the plants were in so I could remove it without as much damage, take the denuded rooty plant and put it into a pot (with drain holes) that was submerged in water in a larger vessel without holes (5 gallon bucket), start filling the plant pot with new soil, and then lift the pot from the bigger container, the soil settled in around the roots as the water drained into the 5 gallon bucket. it was just tomato plants in rocky/clay saturated soil and I havent tried this with cannabis.
Youll be suprised how resilient these plants are. They take a licking and keep on ticking. Swap her over to some cannabis friendly soil and give her a week to recoup.
Wow! You totally got what I was saying! You are the first! Thank you so much! This was exactly what I asked for. If I could have removed all the bad soil a while ago, they’d already be fine. They are super sick now and I even saw some webbing around some of them. I looked at leaves and didn’t see any spider mites but the. They don’t look like spider webs either. I cleaned our entire tent and sprayed down the plants fully with Azamax. The flushing hurt them even worse , must of flushed out too many nutrients even though ppm /EC range looked good in final flush water. I reamended soil and added worm castings n then used some recharge along with some light nutes, calcium magnesium n nitrogen. They not getting worse, maybe they will bounce back but this is the most difficultly I’ve ever had and this sure as shot will never happen again!
Skerrrrtttt… lets see the webbing… i am dealing with spider mites from some clones i took from my bro. Look under the leaves, on top, on the webbing itself… they are very hard to see…
Here is a shot i took of one of them today with the microscope. If you look closely in the second pic you can see the webbing
What kind of light are you using brother?
Those babies are hurting, but cannabis is resilient. If there is a way they will find it.
Hello
My friend is having problems with there plants.
They’re turning yellowing looking around the edges of the plant. And also they’re wilting to at the middle of the plant going down. They’re growing good. Here’s a pictures of them.
Any help with be appreciated.
Hello @Gman2 and welcome to the community would it be possible to get photos in natural light?we could see the plant better and help get your grower pal back on the right track. Again welcome, you’ll find lots of help here.
I had this exact problem plaguing a couple of my plants. I’m in my first grow, so I hovered over them quite a bit in the beginning. lol, but it has taken me a couple weeks to get them on their way to much better health.
I’m in Fox Farm soil and I was pHing my water too low for that particular soil so I had issues with nutrient lock out. My leaf spots look exactly as the spots on your leaves with some yellowing. I started pHing my water between 6.8-7.2 and watering to 10-20% run off. My run off pH was still hovering around 5 coming out, so I just stopped adjusting the pH. My tap is usually around 7.5 - Disclaimer, this is particular to my batch of soil, so I would definitely start the pH around 6.5-6.8 first and then adjust as needed.
I also now add 1 tsp of CalMag per gallon of water and 1 Tbsp of black strap molasses per gallon once a week.
So far, even though it has taken a couple weeks to get them back on track, they are finally at a point where I feel comfortable flipping them in the next couple days.
I hope this helps, bud!
Thank You
Spider farmer 2000. I post a pic of webs if they show up again. Already cleaned n sprayed plants.
They look like they missed a watering to me. If you let a plant dry out too much whole thing wilts, but then after you water it, it bounces back of it hasn’t been too long and parts will be damaged n dry like those pics and other parts will come back healthy. If that’s not it, may have a problem with an area of the roots. The part above that area will die. Root rot or infestation maybe.
They still didn’t end up getting to full health. Hopefully this will help someone else as I can’t believe it actually works. You can completely shake off all soil, soak in water to remove and even tear some roots. I replanted in new soil, watered and NO issues. Not even a little wilting and some plants leaves are already praying 2 days later. Should have just don’t this from the start. If anyone else ever has any issues, just start over, it works. Could of saved months of time trying to bring back to health
Great! Always a relief when things start turning around for the better.
