Not sure when to harvest :P

Hey guys im a first time grower growing outdoors. Im growing ilgm chocolope and its week 4-5 flowering. Its growing really well and the flowers are growing but the trichromes are mostly cloudy with some amber which has me confused. Im thinking of giving it another week or 2 on fertilizer than flush it for a week. What do you guys think I should do?

Based off that first picture I’d guess another 4-6 weeks. Trichomes will tell ya. Start checking trichomes when the majority of pistils have turned brown/red/amber and receded into bud.

Doesn’t look like it’s been in flower very long.

Okay thanks for the info :+1:

Do you have a pic of the whole plant? Also don’t check trichomes on leaves. Just the bud itself. The ones on the leaves mature faster than those on the flower itself.

Yeah next time Im def growing indoors, im definitely going to do what you recommended and monitor. Im also curious do you cut down on nitrogen every feed and increase phosphorous and potassium? Not really sure how to adjust their feeding im thinking of going a week without fert to observe how they react and move accordingly.

The only thing you might want to reduce is nitrogen in the next 2-3 weeks. As for flushing, it’s a controversial subject. Many people believe it makes a difference in flavor, science and blind testing says otherwise. So, dealers choice. One of those things you have to determine for yourself after a series of grows.
