Not sure what deficiency this is

So I did some topping a few days ago and the plants started to droop, I assumed it was from that. But then I started to notice these spots on the leaves so now I’m not sure what’s wrong. Room and res conditions are perfect so it’s none of that. There’s some purple on stems but I’m also growing GDP so I’m not sure if it’s a bad sign or not.

Rh 62%, temps 75, res temps 68, water level 1” below pot. It’s DWC.

Also here’s a 12 hour difference from the top. Seems like the tops perked up a little but the affected leaves look even worse.

Seems like your affected areas are primarily leaves that touch the container. If your ph and ppm’s are in range I’d keep an eye on your new growth. It’s likely an issue that may disappear with height and some defoliation. Please post your results down the road ok.

How much light do you have on them? There appears to be too much heat or light. You may need to raise the light some. Also you may want to cover all of that black plastic on top of the pots and reservoir with aluminum foil. In order to keep the black from absorbing the heat from the light.
As suggested before keep an eye on the new growth for improvement, as they adapt to the grow conditions. The spots on the old leaves will never go away, even if the they continue to grow larger.

Do you think I should defoliate those affected leaves? They’re still recovering from topping so I don’t want to stress them out even more.

I’d wait. They are still very capable of photosynthesis like that. Once the plants taller and you’re ready I’d lollipop the entire bottom 1/3 before flipping to flower. All the shaded areas will end up being larfy buds that I hate fooling with.

But others may have different styles.

Gotcha. I did notice on my other plant some yellowing on the edge, just on lower leaves. This could have been before the res change, so maybe an old issue I never noticed but what would you say this one might be? Just case it progresses. (The sever curling you see on one of those is where I had a droplet of water damage the leaf, not a problem)

Ok update, not looking good. I’m think advanced phosphorus deficiency. I’m so bad at growing… every time I have an issue show up on a plant, I always seem to do the wrong thing to fix it and then it dies so I really hope I can figure it out.

Hey bud sorry I didn’t get back to you. I’m in and out of here pretty randomly. Is your plant still hanging on?

What food line are you using? What ph are you feeding at? Do you monitor your reservoir ph for drift? Have you looked at your roots? Are they rotting?

Provide as many details about your grow as possible because the issue lies there. It’s just figuring out the specific.

GH, 5.8 and I’ll let it drift to 6.0 which I use a blue lab guardian to monitor. Roots aren’t rotten, just a little buildup but that it. I think they’re starting to bounce back, slowly but surely I think because i decided to bite the bullet and switch to RO/DI.

Clearly the affected leaves are pretty far gone but the new growth looks to be progressing at a favorable pace all things considering, this is a 12 hour difference. I know these dead leaves should probably go, but I’m terrified of stressing out the plants again so I was just gonna leave them for a few days until the plants start to look a little happier.

Btw I’m pretty convinced it was a phosphorus deficiency. I’m thinking the ph down and the calcium from my tap was making my P fall out. Purple stems, the purple/rust spots, curling, and it started to move up the plant. RO water had to be the fix
