Picture is of one seed that has been sitting in a damp paper towel for about eight days and nothing is happening. I have had the same issue with all of the Apple Fritter seeds. Would like to know what is going on.
I am 8 for 8 on white widow from ILGM but I just bought 20 apple fritter autos from here. Interested in this thread
Damp paper towel in a sealed freezer bag in a dark bedroom drawer.
You can use phed water at 5.8-6.2. Slightly acidic. A couple drops peroxide. Small jar in pantry warm. Drop a bean in. Should pop within 48 hours. I have terrible luck with paper towels myself. I either rockwool, water as mentioned or straight to moist dirt in final pot. These 2 auto i just stuck in the pots with moist soil.
I have been told Up To 2 weeks so do not be discouraged. I also do a peroxide/water solo cup bath before putting the seed anywhere to loosen the shell. If nothing can get in it doesn’t realize you want it to grow xD
Im a firm believer in the into moist soil as well. However I poke a hole down with my finger then put a tiny piece of paper towel like less than an inch by inch soaked into the hole and set the seed on that. Then cover with soil and let them go.
I didn’t like the other way. It made me feel they were all naked and exposed. Poor little babies. They need to be nestled all warm and snug in a pot in my opinion.
I had a patch where I could not get a seed to pop to save my soul. I started using the blue shop paper towels moist inside a Tupperware container lightly misted. Then I’d put it on a plastic plate on my reptile warming mat. Popped within 24 hours.
